  OMG! I don't really need a new Christmas album from Céline but I'll be excited and happy if most of the songs are new. I'm not that keen on the thought of Céline covering many classics that have been covered a million times.

I have a feeling that is what its going to be since she is on break. Maybe TASP with a few x-mas songs she's already recorded in the past. 'Do you hear what I hear', 'I met an angel on christmas day' that way sony can pretend it's something new. I think we're getting a little too excited here. Remember with the My Love album we thought we'd have some "rare jems" and it's just stuff we have all heard before except for LMBYS which was already recorded previously. Because she's on break, and the fact she's already had a x-mas album, I think its going to be a lot of repeat songs if it is a x-mas album. It still could be the live cd. when they answered you they said "we have a release coming out in october" not specifically a christmas album, but you did ask specifically about a christmas album so IDK. Anyway, Sony usually has x-mas time releases planned in early summer so I'm sure we'll hear more news soon. Obviously before celinedion.com because they won't announce it until November It's fun to plan and hope that it's something new, but she is on break...I just don't want everyone to be disappointed when it's announced as a re-release I feel like they re-release this album every freaking year anyway. I have two different versions but I'm sure theres more out there...

Rumour or no rumour I'd welcome another Christmas album from Celine. "These Are Special Times" is an undoubted classic Celine album amongst her back catalogue and a new Christmas album wouldn't take away from that.

There are so many classic Christmas songs out there just waiting for the Celine touch upon them and of course some new Christmas classics should she decide to record some new ones.

I'll watch this with interest.

this is getting really exciting! there's still a lot of beautiful Christmas songs i'm still waiting for her to record. songs like It's Christmas All Over the World, Little Drummer Boy (maybe a duet with RC), Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, White Christmas, O Come O Come Emanuel, I'll Be Home for Christmas to name a few. and i heard somewhere that she recorded These are Special Times in just 2 short weeks, and i think that wouldn't hurt her break.

i'm looking forward.

Little Drummer Boy with Rene Charles would be amazing.  Do you think that she would possibly do that with him.  I never thought of that.  How cute would that be.  That's an amazing idea Dhena!!

I have a feeling 60 to 70% of the new Christmas Album is already recorded. Remember she had already done some new Christmas songs with David Foster a few years ago...  So she probably just needs a few more songs and voilà!

No i think they mean that she only has one more Cd left to do in her contract.  This then means she can go to another company, and record albums, but knowing celine she will go back to sony BMG.  When she has renewed her contract with them she will be able to do more CDS.  hope i have explained this right and so u understand.  kev

As much as I used to love TAST and still think it's a nice Christmas album which I find it hard for her to top if she's gonna do it with the same approach. She should do it more blues/folky in the style of Sara McLachlan's Wintersong.

Besides Christmas albums are out now, and I find it hard for any pop artist to top McLachlan's.

A one in French would be a big no no, if it was up to me.

I would prefer Céline to focus on things she has proven she can do the best right now - and that aint pop power ballads, but folk, soul and blues inspired music. Look how extremely well and natural she did At Seventeen, That's Just The Woman In Me and I've Got The Music In Me to mention a few (and no I ain't talking about the screamfest It's A Man's Man's Man's World), and anyone can see what she does best now. And I personlaly hunger for an album with tunes like these.

Oh, thanks! I understand. But I didn't know that that is how it works... that artists sign a contract for a certain number of CDs with a record company...

Yeah, It's a Man's Man's Man's World is a horrible song, but I thought that Celine's version was very good because she gave a vocally good performace of the song without screaming. I mean this is what I call screaming
