This new Christmas album has been 9 years in rumorville.

I would love some new Christmas music though. However, I think her Christmas album is pretty much perfect so I don't really need it. I'm kinda glad Celine didn't turn out with her Christmas music like Mariah did. Celine has a great Christmas album, while Mariah has a good Christmas album too, she keeps making these awful new Christmas songs to try to recreate All I Want For Christmas Is You.

I'd love her to do a tv Xmas special with some songs from her Xmas album and others she's never done with a few special guests like buble has done over the years.

Be great publicity ahead of the new album and tour next year... it might also spark interest and enough demand for Sony to finally get her in the studio for this Xmas album after years of trying to make it happen.

Her last English album was in rumorville for more than 2 years lol. And the upcoming next English album has been cooking for more than 1 year now too,, going for the second year in the making by summer 2018...

Even some much scarcely prolific artists like Enya have released in a sixth part the size of Céline's discography, 3 Christmas EPs and a full Christmas album

Yes, the process of what eventually became Loved Me Back To Life was a mess. I really do believe more in this new English album though. I feel like it will be better than LMBTL. I hope.

I thought it would make sense for them to release all of her early albums for her 50th birthday. At least on iTunes

Since 1999 that is announced that FIY sold 32 millions and LTAL 31 milllions. These numbers need to be updated!

The songs from ‘Chante Noël’ and ‘Chants et contes de Noël’?

Would like to hear them. I do have the LPs, but no vinyl player (and even if I had a player, I wouldn’t play them, too scared I would ruin them....

She need to record a new french christmas album! Here in Quebec almost every singer has a french christmas album. I know about the 2 LP from when she was young but they are date and not on cd!

Many songs from pre-Sony are not available digitally besides those found on ONCP and several compilations (many of which use the exact same songs from one another). That said, I think the only song from the Christmas albums released digitally on CD is À quatre pas d'ici.

Even though they are dated, I’d love to have them on cd or digital format. I’m very interested and curious how those songs would sound like. And also the storytelling...

Didn’t know ‘A quatre pas d’ici’ was a Christmas song! Checking right now... wow! Amazing... lol. Never listened to it as a Christmas song.

When you're an artist who isn't as busy as Celine is, you have the time to do these things.

I feel like I'm in the minority sometimes, but I have always felt like she gives her 100% best to her family and fans.  Family first, always - as it should be, but she gives us fans SO much still.  She works her butt off, yet the reality is it will never make everyone happy.  And ultimately, I think it's her health and happiness that matters, not ours.

I don't think you're a minority.
But some people on this forum always want more and just happen to be very vocal about it 😁...I know it comes from a good place, but it can get a bit repetitive after a while...

What do you mean? We don't have any idea about Enya's life or how she spends time besides doing her music. Because she composes her own music, but further than that, she is involved and controls until the smallest detail of her work. Absolutely every aspect, nothing is done without their consent, since the start of her career. That's why she takes between 3 and 7 years to put an album together. Everything you hear on her albums is done, played and performed by her. That requires a lot of work.

On the contrary, Céline is given everything to her and she only has to put the voice and record the songs. Every aspect and decision has been taken for her and she has a huge team to do the paperwork and take the decisions (at least that's how it's been until now). So saying that Céline is very busy in terms of how much involvement she has had in her career is a little ironic, knowing that she only had to be ready to enter the recording studio and sing. Of course she has worked every penny of what she has and she has worked very hard for (and still works a great deal!), but she has been so fortunate to have such a great manager and a big team of people only caring to give her the songs and just sing them.

And just because Enya doesn't have any children or she's very private about her life that doesn't mean she's not busy with other things

I couldn't agree more! I believe that people forget a few things when they criticize her. First that she is in a different fase of her life. She  has a successful career and is now considered an icon. She always put her family first, and after she became a mom even more so. I know that motherhood is her top priority. Especially now that she is both mom and dad. In spite of all that, she tours, releases new albums and performs in Vegas. That, in my point of view is giving a lot to her fans. So yes she works her butt off and people aren't always happy!
