Ok, so Gus is officially gone? I didn't want him to leave Harley at all......
His memorial made me cry. I know that the reason they killed Ricky Paull Goldin off though is because he is going to All My Children so that really sucks. I miss Gus already....

Hello Everyone as you may heard TV's longest running drama/sopa is on the verge of cancellation...CBS is currently looking for a replacement...This show has been watched by people in my family for years...Guiding Light is the longest running TV show EVER 72 years...first started on radio then moved to CBS televison.
What I'm asking for a little "JERICHO" mement we need to save the show. It's kinda sad and it's been in my family since the 30's ....We are not ready to let it go yet... As some of you may know its's a fictional soap that takes place in Springfield Illionis and is about core families like the Coopers, Lewis and Spauldings...
For the last year the show's budget was dropped significantly so the writng become very poor (also due to the writers strike) Now the writing has improved for example "(revas cancer and pregnancy news Considering she is in her 50's) Also another story that has alot of people talking Between to women... Olivia and Natalia two women who are straight and started off as friends now their in love with each other only one thing Natalia in engaged to a man and is a stong religous person ...they already are being called OTALIA by the fans...
So what we are asking is to go to CBS and contact the exectutives to help us save the show!!
Thanks,
Nmj91

Yeah, it's going off of the air in September. I used to watch that show because of Harley and Gus. They were like the supercouple on there but then when they went to All My Children, I went to watching that instead. I think the last time I watched it was last May when it was Harley's last episode.

Me too, but OLTL has always been on the lower end of the ratings. Unfortunately, I think Guiding Light is just the beginning. Unless they do something with Soapnet, I think they'll all go eventually.

I don't think Y&R will ever leave...way to popular. It's nearly double the next highest in the US....and B&B is 1st throughout the world I think.

I mostly watch the ABC soaps ... but earlier this year there were rumors that ABC was planning on cancelling All My Children ... and I just read somewhere that As the World Turns has been renewed for another year, but they are not sure if they will stick around for the following years!

Todays last eposide was GREAT...Josh and Reva get back together ...the show has a flash-forward to One Year later and all the characters end their storylines!

I know! You know Dinah and Mallet had to get back together. I recorded this whole week..the last week of Guiding Light. To think I used to watch this show religously and now it's gone.
