You don't need to transfer money into your Paypal account. When you make a payment you choose from your linked accounts and then Paypal debits that form. So for your debit card it will just say Paypal *Name of Seller*
Im surprised you didn't have to verify your card yet. They normally do that by putting a charge of $1.95 on the card with a code next to it. Once verified they credit that amount to your Paypal account so you have a positive balance of $1.95.
Welcome to eBay and Paypal, you're gonna go broke

Did you get a message that says you succesfully verified your card? Are you sure you don't have a balance of $1.95 now?
If someone pays you, it goes into your Paypal balance. But then you can transfer it to your checking/saving account or build it up and use it to pay for future stuff.

Paypal is convenient for the most part, but just be careful - it can be a b**** sometimes. I tried sending money to my friend, Kimba and it just crapped all over us.

Never really had issues with paypal. I recommend using the paypal security key for added protection: www.papal.com/securitykey/

they only bad thing about paypal is that they use crappy convertion rates and they have high rates for when you accept money!
does anyone have experience in getting a payment in dollars, and can you transfer that to your own credit card or bank account, and did that cost anything?

Hey thanks for that link Vic. I think I'm going to get this security token. It's a great idea.

Congratulations! I use Paypal a lot. The only downside of it is that they charge 3% on each transaction, but it IS very convenient to use for buying and selling things or transfering money.
