I watch that movie when I was little I never cryed that hard from a movie. May she rest in peace.

I LA near USC in a region heavily populated by people of Mexican descent, there is this GIGANTIC graffiti of her face. Although, I have to say I do not appreciate graffiti as a form of art, the artist did a pretty good job. He (they) also wrote something in Spanish there.

She has a beautiful voice, it's such a shame she died at an early age. I've always thought she has the potential to become the Spanish Celine. Both sing in 2 languages and maybe they could do a duet together if she was still alive.

In 1995 on this day March 31 Selena Quintanilla-Perez's life was taken when the president of her fan club shot and killed her. I know this day is almost over here in south Texas but she is still greatly missed to this day. Today pictures and music of her were played all day long in memorial of the queen of tejano.

Its nice to see that she is still such a major influence here. I feel honored to have seen her perform before she passed away and to have visited her memorial and final resting place.

That is so awful that it was the president of her fan club who killed her!?    It's so creepy, so twisted..!    It goes beyond my understanding how you can kill a person you so deeply admire..?? I know this is something that has been discussed in some threads here before but it's just so unbelievable, when something like this happens.. huh.  
As for the singer herself, I don't really even know anything about her, I only saw a movie once that was about her I think, the one with Jennifer Lopez? At least it was called "Selena".

I'm so glad the world remembers her. I only found out about her existence from the movie, but I love her songs and I saw the film several times. I believe she made a huge cotribution to the world of Latinoamerican music, her career was a breakthrough for singers even like J.Lo herself, who played Selena in the movie. And Selena was so joyful, warmhearted, generous and loving... just like a Mexican Celine when it comes to personality

I TOTALLY agree with you! Im glad people got to at least see that movie and it was mostly filmed here in the city i live in!!

Wow I wanna visit you one day   Seriously I gotta visit both Americas some day, Canada and Latin America... and on the way just drop by for a night in Vegas to see Celine Y creo que Selena fue una de las razones por que he aprendido el espanol

Na shes got life there. Shes actually requested to be in lock down because people would kill her for what she did NO JOKE. People around here LOVE Selena and you really see it when you go to her home city. Shes still pretty big down here, you can always hear her on the radio. Yesterday they had nothing but her music playing on one of the radio stations all day long.

No doubt they would... I feel pity for Yolanda because I don't believe someone mentally healthy could do something like that, but otherwise I know I would hate her myself, and I never knew Selena when she was still alive... People loved her no less than we love Celine, so Yolanda probably really wouldn't have a life out of prison.

I still love Selena.  She's very beautiful and her voice is awesome.  I love the movie and I still have it. She was all I would listen to when I was 5. This was truly a loss of a great woman and a great voice. Te Amo Selena!
