I agree with their values. I'm a vegetarian, and totally against any kind of animal abuse. But I don't always agree with the way they express themselves. They lose more support than they gain sometimes, with the crazy and innappropriate things they do. There are better ways to make a point than being rude.

Didn't they demand recently that only human breast milk should be used to make ice creams?

Agreed.  I'm not a fan of the ways animals are treated at times, but I also don't think the whole "eye-for-an-eye" routine will get us, humans, anywhere in life.

The human species is built with teeth called K9s.  We are ombnivores, thus built to eat both animals and plants.  I agree the way animals are killed for our consumption is at times wrong and horrible.  Although, at the same time I could argue that the way we get plants is very savage.  Yanking and slicing parts off of plants is just as hurtful as it would be to slice a cow's leg off.  It is my personal belief that plants feel just as strongly as animals.  We may not understand how yet, but it is there.  They can hurt.  They are a living thing.

Hmm...see I don't think plants feel pain if you pull off a leaf or a seed or whatever to make food out of it. Obviously neither opinion can be proved right or wrong, since plants can't express themselves LOL. But in my thoughts, I think that would be like the equivalent of cutting a human or animals hair, or toenails or something. They survive. I don't think they suffer. And even if they do, not as badly as a cow who is murdered for someone's dinner. Unfortunately we have to eat something, and I can't stand to eat animals. So plants are my only option. I look at meat and I just think of my bunnies, I look at fish and I think of Percy swimming around in my fish pond. I look at chicken and think of my pet birds- and I just  can't do it.

And I think the whole Pamela/Jessica thing was so ridiculous LOL. I am a Jessica fan, but I completely disagree with her meat eating/promoting. Still, how does that give Pamela the right to say nasty things like that? That's exactly why I won't support PETA. People dismiss them entirely when they act like jerks. Sad because they have some otherwise valid points. Like my Mama always says "you catch more flies with honey..."

PETA loves animals?

As soon as the puppies outlived their cuteness and the kids didn't want to scoop the poop anymore, the dogs were dumped in shelters," says Nachminovitch, vice president of cruelty investigations for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). "Many of them had to be euthanized, because there was simply no place for them to go."

But what many animal lovers don't realize is that PETA itself may have put down some of those unwanted Dalmatians. The organization has practiced euthanasia for years. Since 1998 PETA has killed more than 17,000 animals, nearly 85 percent of all those it has rescued.

Yes, they really do. Vegan power !

In defense of its policy PETA has insisted that euthanasia is a necessary evil in a world full of unwanted pets.

and PETA is an *UN-necessary* evil. The only thing PETA loves is themselves. They don't love animals and even less human beings. Bitter jerks. I always wish for some Plant Rights extremists to break into their headquater and get them for torturing broccoli

I'm all for animal rights, but peta is a little crazy. And actually our bodies are not made to eat meat. If you compare our bodies to carnivores/omnivores we are not the same. We don't have claws, meat eaters have a longer intestine so they can digest the decaying meat faster, meat eaters have stronger acid in the stomach to digest the meat, and if we didn't have man made weapons to hunt our food, we simply couldn't do it. If you don't believe that, fine, but you should look more into how these animals are treated before and when they are killed. I was a meat eater just a year ago until my eyes were opened up to the cruelity that these animals face. Learn something, watch earthlings on youtube and learn more about how our animals are treated.  Its not fair, they don't have a voice, but they do have emotion. I know, I sound like a hippy lol, but it's seriously heartbreaking. So even if you believe that we were made to eat meat, the way your "food" is treated while being slaughtered is just in-humane and should be stopped. Besides that, all of the hormones and crap that are force fed into these animals goes right into your body when you eat them. I also suggest reading Skinny *CENSORED*. I think if people actually took the time to educate themselves on where exactly our meat comes from, that more people would stop eating it. It's sad though because a lot of people refuse to read/watch about it because their burger from Mcd's taste tooo damn good. Sorry, I know this is touchy subject for some, that's just my opinion. :)
