It is such a shame that the Taking Chances album is Celine's least successful. It just shows that Sony are at fault. My Love is an excellent song, as are most of the songs on the TC album. They just need lots and lots of promotion but Sony do not seem interested anymore.

well chuck is always direct. he makes good points, 1) alone was a diaster, 2) the atypical delivery maybe what she needs 3) sony needs help

Great review by Chuck, I agree with all he said.  It seems there is no more people left working for Sony that are interested in promoting well Céline's stuff the way she deserves.
About Live Nation René said recently in Montréal that he received the exact same offer for Céline that they offered Madonna and that he refused it.  I guess they're waiting to see in February what life brings or not(talking about baby here)   to take important new decisions for Céline's carreer and their future life.  René has said many times that it is their most important project and that all the rest(future projects and carreer choices) will depend on Céline having a baby or not.  Until then I hope Sony will do their job in a different way they have done it up to now.

The sales 3M-4M are actually a pretty good number if you take into consideration the length of time she recorded the album (1 month remember) and also the promotion (She was still fully active in Vegas at the same time). Do you realize that some artists would give up their right arm to have those numbers????? But of course, in the Celine Dion standard, 3M is harsh compared to 15 or even 30 but hey!!!! Times have changed, very few people buy CDs these days, her videos are not broadcast on MTV or VH1, she doesn't go naked in the videos, she doesn't get air plays... and most importantly, she does if for fun not for the numbers. Knowing that E=MC2 only about a million copies (http://perezhilton.c...-09-15-mariah-3), we should be happy for Celine. I am. I admit I didn't buy the album, I downloaded.
