Why didn't you enjoy your front row seats??? I have always loved front row every time I have sat there!!! Granted the seats aren't as great as they were in Vegas, but nothing beats being that close to Celine!!! I do hope that you have a better time in Tacoma!

We also had front row seats. We were on the south side, off to the left. The seats were incredible, but we were slightly disappointed because our corner seemed to be the one that Celine came over to the least. She definitely tried to give equal treatment everywhere, but the catwalks got some of the best moments. She did sing "My Love" right in front of us, which was amazing, and she looked directly at my sister and I a couple of times, whenever we would cheer for her.
My biggest complaint was the crowd. Our section seemed to be filled with only older folks who just wanted to sit there, hardly even clapping and definitely not standing. It's a concert!! Let's show her some darn respect!
But don't get me wrong... the concert was absolutely INCREDIBLE!! My sister & I are 23 years-old and have been fans of Celine since we were about 11. We've only seen her in concert once before (2003 in Vegas), so this was just an amazing experience. Her voice was unbelievable, as usual, and we literally had goosebumps the entire night.
We got some awesome video and pictures, if anyone is interested.

After leaving we were wishing we were on the South side....honestsly she barely came to our corner of the stage (2-3 times max) she seemed to favor the catwalks and the other side of the stage which is why I think it is funny to hear that you think she favored the our side...lol. Also whenever we would stand people would yell at us. We even got yelled at when we stood to take a picture of the stage about 20 minutes before Celine came out!! I guess that should have been the indication of how our night would be...lol! There were some people in our section who stood with us and danced but we were the minority for sure. But it seemed in upper areas of the arena the crowd was great. Our section as well had a lot of older people as well which didn't help. So basically i felt like I was watching Celine on tv. Don't get me wrong...I LOVE Celine and always will and she was in top shape and sounded amazing but it was just not what we expected. Hopefully tomorrow we actually see Celine more than seeing Celine on a tv screen
And thanks for the videos too

I'm hating on myself hardcore.
I thought the event staff wasnt very nice in my section. people were dancing and standing and they were asked to sit down or return to their seats.
That really stinks. We have to jeopardize enjoying ourselves and seeing our favorite artists all so the geriatrics in the crowd can see. It's not a freakin night at the opera, it's a concert for God's sake. When one person gets up and starts dancing usually everyone around them starts doing the same. I can just imagine when the DVD from Boston is released. It's going to be so embarrassing seeing the crowds dead like that. I wonder how this makes Celine feel. Here you are giving the best of yourself and the people are half-asleep (or maybe they're just in shock at how amazing she is). This is just so stupid. They should eliminate the floor seats and keep everyone standing so they're forced to jam with her.
I'd like to see someone tell me to sit down...they'll be in for a very rude awakening.

Heidi and I got to the Rose Garden at around 4:00/4:30 and proceeded to find the entrance where we thought she'd be entering. I don't normally wait for her, but we had a gift and flowers to welcome her to our area. I figured it was my one chance, so I'm going for it. We waited and waited... and nothing. We eventually saw one of her security personnel that we know from Las Vegas walk by, so we stopped him. Instead of asking where Celine was or where she comes in, we simply told him that we had a gift for Celine and a bouquet of roses that we would like to give to her. He very generously offered to take them backstage for us and then let us know that Celine wouldn't even be driving in that entrance today. We didn't believe that he'd have any reason to lie to us to keep us away, so we gave him our gifts. Instead of continuing to look for her (I'm not the stalker type...), I decided that it's best to give up her gifts because that was the point anyway... at least I assume she got them.
We then walked around to one of the main entrances to wait until they opened the doors. We were told that the doors weren't opening until 7:00, so we had to wait outside. Around 6:00 we got pretty cold, bored, and hungry... so we decided to eat at the bar/pub open right inside the arena for ticketholders only. It was packed, but somehow we found a seat. We were sitting there passing time, eating some (terrible) chicken quesadillas, when suddenly around 6:20 or so we hear Celine singing. It was the soundcheck... and it was loud! Since this bar is inside the arena, we heard a nice, clear, soundcheck... and all it cost us was around $20 for 2 quesadillas and a Coke.
When we got to our seats, I was thrilled to be in front row... but was shocked at just how HIGH that stage was. Reading reviews on here, I knew that... I guess I just didn't know it was THAT high. We had bought the tickets through an official "auction" on the Rose Garden's website, so we didn't know WHERE we were in front row. We were on the North side, on the far left side. Unfortunately, we were far left... not in the middle. I could tell right then that we wouldn't be able to see much... but I just assumed that Celine would come around often enough (and be close enough) that I wouldn't care. After all, there was a screen right in front of us.
I forgot to mention that Heidi and I attempted to smuggle 2 roses into the arena (we stole 2 roses out of our two dozen bouquet for Celine). We had heard from some on here that roses are not allowed into some arenas, so we tried to hide them. Unfortunately, in this process, mine snapped in half.
We noticed from the beginning that we stuck out like a sore thumb in that arena. For starters, were about 80 years younger than most people there. Additionally, we were wearing shirts that said CELINE and we had signs ("We love you, Celine" and "On T'aime Celine"). We got a LOT of stares. God forbid someone go to a concert and look like they actually care about the artist. Crazy idea.
Gordie Brown started nearly 8:00 on the dot. I thought he was terrible.
Celine came out just before 9:00... I was thrilled. She walked right by our section coming in, and I was in heaven. There was Celine! When she came onstage, everyone stood up to welcome her. The second she started to sing, everyone behind the front row of our section sat down. Everyone. I immediately got poked. It was a fast song, and 4 other people in our row (right next to us) were standing... thank goodness... so I proceeded to stand. I kept getting poked and screamed at.
I was lucky enough to have 2 women behind me that wanted to stand too. They were sticking up for me, and I really appreciate them. However, the ladies behind Heidi had large sticks up their butts. She got poked and yelled so much that she barely stood. During one fast song (I forget which one), me and the ladies behind me were standing (along with 4 other people in the front row). Then, an usher lady came over and told me and the 2 behind me to sit down. I started to sit, and she started to walk away. So, I said, "What about them" (meaning the 4 people standing to the right of me) and she said, "No, they can stay." I looked behind me and realized that it was all because of one old man sitting in row 3 or 4. He was fuming, but I wasn't going to sit down for him. Celine wasn't visible unless we stood up, and I wasn't about to stare at NOTHING. So, I stood. I looked back and the man's wife was actually holding him down and he looked like he wanted to jump up and kill me. I kept standing. He had backstage passes even... he had his chance with Celine. I wanted to see her.
The reason we all wanted to stand so much is that Celine hardly EVER came to our side. When she did come to the North side it was the other corner. She walked by our section, briefly, two or three times. I was shocked, and very disappointed.
There was a point where I was on the verge of tears. I've cried seeing Celine before, but never like this. Celine was right there up on stage, but I couldn't see her. She was out of sight unless I stood up, and I couldn't stand up. For a fan, this is the most constraining feeling there is. I was fuming and just so exhausted. Eventually I gave up, sat back, and watched her on the screen... and then crossed my fingers that she'd come by. She hardly ever did. I was basically watching Celine on television.
One exception we made to the enforced "no standing" rule was during Love Can Move Mountains. When she first asked everyone to stand up and dance, our whole section did. About 30 seconds into the song only the first 3 rows or so were standing. Then the yelling started again. I stood anyway... after all, Celine told me to.
Celine exited the opposite way that she came in... so I didn't even get a chance to be close to here there. Nothing was quite going our way.
We left the concert upset and disappointed. Like I said, I never thought I'd walk out of a Celine concert thinking I had a terrible time... but I did this time. I couldn't even focus on the concert. My thoughts were, "I wish I could see Celine," "I wish I could stand," "I wish they'd stop yelling," and "I wish they'd stop poking." I had no time to think, "Wow, what a great show." It was so unfortunate. What a waste of Celine.
Thanks for listening to all of my complaining.

When I was in the front, there were two ladies next to my mom - and they stood a lot. Some guy halfway through the show told her to sit down and she turned around and went, "You stand UP!" And said something along the lines of, "It's a concert!" I was proud of her. I mean -- what are these people doing paying that kind of money to just sit and stare at a TV screen? Because there are times when you cannot see when she is clear on the other side of the stage (I was on the far corner as well)!
I hope tonight is better for both of you. And if anyone tells you to sit down, tell them where to go.
