This is the first time that music producers are talking about Celine -perhaps- coming in Greece next summer. Is Celine planning to do so? It would definately be a shame if she doesn't since Greece is one of her best selling countries in Europe. Actually, she is THE best seling International artist in Greece with thousands of fans.

Actually, this is true.
Rumor has it that Celine will include us in her tour but to be honest i am not really sure about it. Celine should have done this in her previous tours as well since she is so popular in Greece but anyway it is never late. After all, if Shakira, 50Cent, George Michael and Evanesence were able to have sold-out concerts, Celine will triumph for sure. All her albums are awarded as platinum, every album reached #1 and she has sold more than 250.000 copies which make her the best International Artist ever in Greece (since Nana Mousxouri is Greek)!

So what are they waiting for?

Ps: It is very rare for an international album to reach the platinum status in Greece.

I hope she visits Greece, she said on Oprah she wanted to come on vacation so... why not give a concert too!? many greeks will be dissapointed if she doesn't come... and i'm one of them, 2-3 dozens of Celine albums say so...

She should come to Greece! There's nothing for her to lose. Crowds will come to watch her perform live. I am sure that the concert will be sold out. Why should she give lots of concerts in Asia, Australia, Usa, UK? We deserve to watch her live too!

And don't forget that Celine could perform almost in any place in Greece.
Ok... it wouldn't be easy for her but imagine this... "Celine Live at Herod Atticus"!!!
Greeks know exactly what i am talking about (or anyone who has a rudimentary Greek history knowledge)... it could never happen (or at least it is very diffucult) but it's still a great thought.

Celine in Greece!!!Ohhh, it would surely be one of her most glorious moments in her carreer!! So many people here recognize her talent and respect her truly! It's true she's the best selling international artist ever here and i'm sure that she would surely have a sold-out show! Let Sony and Rene take this seriously and include Greece in their schedule of this magnificent tour! It would be same indeed, if she wouldn't give a concert in a country where so many fans are aupporting her daily! We are the ones that do all the possible promotion for her latest works! "Céline Live at Herod Atticus": it sounds so prestigious! How wonderful would that be! Andrea Bocelli and Diana Ross did this before, among others (mainly classical artists).

The problem is that this place is kind of too small for Céline fans! Céline would need to do the Olympic Stadium!

I would pay a fortune to have the best seat if Céline would come here!!!!

Please, René, do something for us too! We work all year long to promote our favorite singer in our country and we never had the chance to see her live!!!
You can have great vacations here too, visiting the archaeological sites or our beautiful islands with René-Charles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not only the biggest ones but Greece has made Celine's cds multi-platinum. She has sold more than many countries that she is visiting next year and yet nothing. At least this is an essential fact to choose your tour-countries! Anyway... lets just hope but i don't think we'll ever watch her live in Greece. I just hope that Aliagas, Fragoulis, Paparizou will play a part (even Callas   )

Poland is near from Germany so that's not really a problem, but the south and East of Europe is forgotten again.

Actually, Greece is the only country in the world in which "A new day...Live in Las Vegas" had #1 as a peak position!!! And even if this cd was not one of her best selling albums worldwide, in Greece it was in the top10 of the International albums for 2004! And i still bet that she isn't coming (again)! It's a shame! I mean, you are starting a new world tour... why don't you include one country in which you have sold near 500.000 albums and you have thousands of fans?! Anyway... to be honest, i didn't expect something better from Rene and Sony. And i am not talking only about Greece but generally for the world tour, which left out some countries which should definately be included. Whats the point of giving 5-10 concerts in ONE country and not visiting others?

Well, is not that easy for to go to every country but is my point of view too.
They could do 2-3 concerts maximum for country (excepts USA).

It's very easy for international artists like Celine to visit almost every country they want to and we are talking about Greece. It's is ironic to give 10 concerts in one country and not visiting a country that you have never been to, with thousands of fans and thousands of sales. Anyway... some things never change.

As it seems, if the dates we have seen are official then we can watch her in Turkey. The funny thing is that she isn't coming in Athens and she will be singing in Turkey in which she has no fan base at all! Good Luck Celine...

well i like to think we are a special plan on her future schedule!

not just a place to visit on a huge tour! just a country to devote her voice in a star- full  sky on Parthenon!

despite all she did say she found Greece a great place to be with your family coz of the "ambiance familialle" [ "Gros Plan" - Nikos Aliagas interview - Alpha]
