Here, in Tulsa, Oklahoma - where I live, we have opened a large new arena, unlike anything we've ever had here.  Celine was the first artist to sign on to perform in the new arena and now, Tulsa is thanking her with her own tree!!  I have included the article from our local paper but think about this...

For years and YEARS, Tulsa, Oklahoma will have a tree and plaque commemorating Celine's performace in our city... Thats a BIG DEAL!!!  BIG!!!

The Eagles, Celine Dion, Neil Diamond and Carrie Underwood will stand outside the BOK Center for a very long time.

All 61 trees — a variety of maples, elms and oaks — that circle the new arena will be dedicated to an artist who performs or an event that takes place at the new venue during its inaugural year.

Each will be recognized with a stainless steel plaque located on a concrete base in front of a tree, BOK Center General Manager John Bolton said.

"A lot of facilities do special things for artists," he said. "We thought it would be a neat idea to commemorate the first year with sort of a walk of fame, while recognizing that trees are a big part of Tulsa's landscape."

The plaques will be added as the shows take place. The first one will be for the Eagles' grand opening performance Sept. 6.

Venue officials plan to present each artist with photos of their tree backstage the night of the show.

"The trees will be here growing as the artists hopefully come back to visit us again and again," Bolton said.

Having so many trees on site is only one step to make the building as environmentally friendly as possible, he said.

Green practices that will be in place include using recycled paper products and low-flow toilets in the bathrooms, biodegradable containers for the food and beverage concessions, as well as compact fluorescent lightbulbs in public areas.

Staff will use china, glass and silverware for catered functions, pour drinking water by request only and serve locally grown products whenever possible.
