No! You are not becoming crazy! Posted Image RC wore her ring on that occasion: The famous "Panthère de Cartier" in white gold, emerald, onyx and a lot of diamonds. It's around 179.000 Euro. First time I discovered it on Céline was in May 2007 in Paris and she wore it quite often. For example the famous and funny sighting @ Ellen DeGeneres five months later https://youtu.be/ln7...6pdyD91iy&t=51.
It's a great piece of High Jewelry. And the panther is the emblematic animal of Cartier since its iconic artistic director Jeanne Toussaint started working for Cartier in 1933 (her nickname was "Panthère"): https://youtu.be/uKP...N90ExZ6TU93lBqB

By the way: Was easy to find way back then because of the label to be read on the stocking. But it was a HUGE surprise that it's not only a stocking! But a full "shoe".

Series "I walk the shoe, the shoe don't walk me!" - Part 2 - Let's have a look on "those" shoes - that were either too small or a little too big.

Important note:
Not all of the pictures I post IN THIS SERIES were found by me - but I started unfortunately much too late to note the names of the founders because for a long time I never had the intention to post anywhere. I just collected the findings only for myself - so the collection was already big when I too started my luck to find pieces. Meanwhile my collection is 4.182 pieces big (383 pieces of that are not clothing items) - steadily growing. And since my re-opening of the CelinishCloset I ONLY share the pieces I FOUND (if not I will mention) - but for THIS series I also dug deep in my collection so there will be findings of Frida, maybe some of Deborah and some of Luciana. I tried to update the resp. pieces, but unfortunately I too have big technical problems with the Forum. The "Search"-Button doesn't work at all, it always kicks me out and I have to log me in again, which - after that procedure - not always works in first place. Clicking page by page through the Thread from the beginning has the same effect. Apart from that a lot of pictures have disappeared over the years (at least my browser don't show them anymore).
It is important for me to acknowledge the real finders - because since I do know how much effort is connected to find things it a matter of respect! And I too knew the feeling if others steal your content and declare it as your own finding. There was one person who ruined with that disrespectful behavior this thread a long time ago! And for sure I will stop immediately if I find out if someone steals my content and declares it as his/her own.

the pink one is beautiful...

I'm wondering what she does when a shoe is broken... well for Vegas she had an extra exact pair to replace...
but what if it happened before, like the Rosie O'donnell episode when she was singing That's The Way It Is...
does she repair them to keep for the collection, or does she throw it away? Posted Image

Based on the things she said in various interviews and how often she emphasized how much she loves shoes I am pretty sure that she rarely throws away broken pieces. Unless they are that much broken that they can't be fixed anymore. And even though she maybe keep them anyway, if they were attached to beautiful memories. By the way she has a great team of people responsible for her wardrobe, they surely treat her belongings very carefully and attentive! And I also think that her upbringing is too much in here genes to throw away things very quickly. Even if you've lived most of your life in big wealth.
And maybe you remember that official posting of August 2018, where she's fixing those fishnet-high heels of Alexander Wang (I've posted them in the series). There she wrote: "Thank you Mom, you taught me well …" - so her mother was surely a big force to teach her to treat things with respect and don't throw away very quickly.
But - or course - that's just my point of view, based on the things Céline said throughout her long career.

Series "I walk the shoe, the shoe don't walk me!" - Part 5/last part
Let's have a look on "those" shoes - that were either too small or a little too big.

It's quite funny to see custom modified shoes that didn't fit! Mostly as Chloe Gosselin also completely custom made the other pair of shoes Céline was wearing at the Met Gala in 2019. So one can assume that she had the complete measurements of her feet! Not a very good promotion for that designer not being able to create sandals, where the toes aren't hanging over the sole.

The satin Lanvin shoes I call myself the "oiyoiyoiy"-shoes, as the was also wearing them for the first rehearsal in Las Vegas (in February 2011) and told René as they returned to the hotel suite: "For year and a half I've been in flip flops, bare feet and now I have to get used to be on heels again. It's awful!" (Scene of "3 Boys And A New Show").

And the René Caovilla strap sandals show a little secret, which only HQ pictures or people in the first row at the concerts (looking at her feet) would have noticed: A very special see-through strap-system to give her more stability on stage. Still it's always a miracle to me how to walk, dance, run in skyscraper high high-heels which are only attached with thin straps to the feet!

Yeah. Such things can only be discovered with good HQ-pictures. The most important tool for every fashion-searcher! Posted Image

@ "The Oprah Show", broadcast in February 2010, Oprah told Céline: "You can't keep everything!" - but with Céline showing her fans the warehouse storage one got an impression that she cherishes her things and likes to keep them. But sometimes she decides to give it away for charity or other auctions. So, here's the first part of the next series in this thread: "Auctioned off!"

I can see why she would auction off that Kaufman Franco Silver dress, as beautiful as it is, there was no way she was ever going to be able to wear that one again (.)(.) 😂 Always thought her bust was the biggest I’d ever seen it in that particular dress and she filled it out perfectly then, obviously during her breast feeding days 😜

Posted Image  She had a "serious chest" way back then! (like she described it to Jay Leno in December 1997:  https://youtu.be/eXk...lOTj3hN_C&t=232) but, as she said in "3 boys and a new show": "I don't want that focus ..." - so, who knows. Maybe you are right and that was the reason to auction this dress off!

Yeah! Good eye! In the documentary she said that she can wear from 6 to 10 (which is from 37 to 41) - but in another interview, I guess it was at "Ellen DeGeneres" she said her actual size is 7 (= 38).

OH! This makes me happy that I showed you something new! I am also always very happy to discover pictures I've not seen before - although after over 36 years of being her fan and collecting her pictures - AND in times of Photoshop and KI-"mafia" it is meanwhile a miracle to find something like that!

Part 4 of the "Celinish Closet"-Series "Auctioned off!"

Although I can understand that she didn't want to keep the replica of the "Heart of the Ocean"-necklace which René bought for her after the Oscar's 1998 and she auctioned if off benefiting the "Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund" and "Southern California's Aid For AIDS" - but it came as a surprise discovering that she gave away her ICONIC Chanel gown (and the custom made shoes) which she was wearing at the Academy Awards 1997. Although that's a dress to never wear again - but it had such a big impact way back then that - if I was Céline - would have stored it. But I am sure Céline had very good reasons to give it away. Maybe because it reminded her of the "fight" she had with René about that her choice to wear it? Posted Image Posted Image  (Just kidding.) https://youtu.be/eXk...D5Srw10s-&t=189

But she looked absolutely sensational way back then! Posted Image

Yes, it was part of the outfit. Also made by the high jewelry designers of Chanel. And she was also wearing those Star-earrings, which Chanel gave to her because she was such a good customer!

Here's a little story of the beautiful necklace. As far as I know it's still in Céline's possession.

"COMÈTE" NECKLACE
Central round brilliant-cut diamond, weighing 4.25 carats; estimated remaining diamond weight: 68.90 carats; mounted in platinum, G color, VS1 clarity
In 1932, a few years after the stock market crash, Coco Chanel presented her first major jewelry collection in Paris, entitled "Bijoux de Diamants". When asked why she launched a jewelry collection at the height of the Great Depression of all times, Coco had a simple explanation: in a time of slight prosperity she made costume jewelry because it was free of arrogance, in a time of financial crisis it fades and the need for authenticity is necessary.

The necklace Céline was wearing was nearly identical to the necklace which premiered in 1932! I'll post it right after.
