Pierre Cossette had died at age 85.

In the 1970s, he started producing the Grammy Awards for television, which he continued to do until his death. He also produced numerous other awards shows, as well as television specials for Celine, such as:

Celine Dion: These Are Special Times, CBS, 1998.
Celine Dion: All the Way ... A Decade of Song, CBS, 1999.
Celine Dion: A New Day Has Come, CBS, 2002.
Celine in Las Vegas ... Opening Night Live!, CBS, 2003.
