I loved seeing the musical in London the other week - it was great hearing the songs live. The people who wrote that show are genuises, making a story to fit between all of these songs.
Wouldn't it be great if they made a musical based on Celine's songs?!

The songwriters (Benny & Bjorn) are the geniuses. You can't beat the original versions, the stage show singers can't compare to Agnetha & Frida, but it is a good show though. Have you seen French & Saunders skit of it, that was hilarious.
But oh my God, Celine the musical. That would be awesome.

Yes, the original versions are the best. I just think it's incredible how many hit songs they've had that everyone knows!
I would love a Celine musical too! I don't know whether it would work if Celine was in it though, cos it would be rather embarrassing for the other singers trying to compete with her, and also Celine would obviously be the centre of attention throughout the show and the other just as important characters won't get much credit

Agnetha Fältskog has confirmed what ABBA fans already knew, but didn’t want to hear -- the legendary Swedish pop band will never reunite.
In an interview which aired Sunday night in Australia, Fältskog shut the door on an ABBA comeback.
When asked if the foursome would ever back together, Fältskog shook her head, and said: “I don’t think so. No. And we’ve had a lot of offers but we have our own life now since many years back and we don’t understand why we should do it. Because we’ve had our time and I think we should let ABBA rest and just listen to the music.”
It wasn’t a definitive, “snowball’s chance in hell” type of response. But it sure didn’t give any flexibility for a chance of ABBA reforming.
The ABBA question will always be asked, and it would seem Fältskog doesn’t mind responding to it. But on this occasion Fältskog’s rare appearance on TV in this part of the world is all part of her own comeback trail. She’s much too busy to dwell on the past.
Back in March, the blonde Swedish pop legend dropped a new single “When You Really Loved Someone.” It’s the first taster from the upcoming album, “A,” her first set of new music in almost a decade. Universal Music Group will release the album May 13.
Fältskog appeared relaxed in the interview, which was aired on the Seven Network’s "Sunday Night" program. At one point, she sung-back the lyrics of “SOS” to her interviewer, Rahni Sadler. Fältskog also dispelled those whispers that she’d become a hermit since the band split in 1983. Shy, yes. But not a recluse. Just out of the spotlight by design.
“We had had too much of everything,” she explained. "So there were some years that I wanted to be just for myself and have a rest and build me up again. And then it’s easily done that these rumors start…'she’s like Greta Garbo'… and 'she doesn’t want to meet anyone. She’s a mysterious lady'. It’s strange to read bad things about yourself when it’s not like that at all. (I) just want to have a quiet life.”
The quiet life was a world away from where ABBA had arrived in the late '70s and early '80s. “It was (intense). Even if there were very funny times, there were periods where we were very irritated as well. Because we were very tired. We were tired of travelling so much, living in hotels. You don’t have time for other things."
ABBA collaborator and former husband Björn Ulvaeus also appeared for the program, though he sat for a separate interview. He traced the turning points in the band’s career – the decision to move reshape their “embarrassing” act Festfolk into an originals group, the 1974 Eurovision win, and the strategy over the following years to focus on the songs. In the lull that came after Eurovision, they chose to focus on “such a production of the songs. And then send it to them, and see what happens.”
And what does Fältskog hope for her new album? “I hope it will be a big success.” And is she worried about reaching the apex of fame, again? “Not so very much. I think I’ve got used to it by now.”

You can thank ABBA for the music. And so much more.
A museum devoted to the pop superstars opening in Stockholm on Tuesday will celebrate the band's long list of hits. But it will also show off paraphernalia, including the helicopter featured on the cover of its "Arrival" album, a star-shaped guitar and dozens of glitzy costumes the Swedish band wore at the height of its 1970s fame.
Some gear is definitely not on show. With a smirk on his face, band member Bjorn Ulvaeus says certain items are "mysteriously ... forever lost," conceding only that among them are "embarrassing" tight costumes he wore when he was "slightly overweight." He declined to say more on the matter.
Some 40 sets of the trademark shiny flares, platform boots and knitted hats are on display in the museum. But visitors can also see digital images of what they would look like in costumes, record music videos and sing such hits as "Dancing Queen" and "Mamma Mia" on a stage next to hologram images of the band members. A telephone also has been placed in a corner and ABBA members have promised to "Ring, Ring" and speak to visitors occasionally.
But the museum also shows a less glamorous, more everyday side of the history of a band that has sold 400 million records and consistently topped the charts in the decade after winning the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with "Waterloo." The band — made up of Ulvaeus, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Benny Andersson and Agnetha Faltskog — started out as two married couples, and continued performing after their divorces, before eventually drifting apart in the early 1980s.
The collection includes models of the band's kitchen, a cottage where they used to compose their songs and the small, rustic park venues Bjorn and Benny played when they first met in the 1960s. Visitors can listen to the band members' recollections and one section is dedicated to the breakup and the story of the divorces.
"It (touches) on those things as well because we think they are important in telling the story," Ulveaus said.
The museum also includes a Swedish Music Hall of Fame, detailing other Swedish artists.
It was a long time coming, eagerly anticipated by fans and visitors to the Swedish capital. Ulvaeus said they needed the time to reflect on their careers. "You need some distance, you need perspective to be able to tell a story like that and I guess you can say that we have perspective now, 30 years on," he told reporters.
Outside the newly built wooden museum scores of international ABBA fans gathered Monday, singing the band's songs and hoping to get a glimpse of their idols arriving for a gala dinner. All were expected except Faltskog, who is currently promoting her comeback album "A'' in Britain.
Nikita Stolyarov, a 21-year-old student from Russia said he got a glimpse of Lyngstad on Sunday when she came by for an early view of the museum.
"It was so exciting, I can't describe my feelings," he said.

I usually have my i-pod on shuffle. It plays a lot of ABBA songs, but today it's like it knew Agnetha is in the news.
It played If I Thought You'd Ever Change Your MInd (dance version).

I'm so in love with "When You Really Loved Someone."
But my favorite ABBA song is sung mostly by Frida. It's "When All Is Said And Done".
