Are Celine Fans Different From Other Celeb Fans?

This is something I've noticed personally for awhile now. Do you guys think that Celine fans are different from fans of other celebrities? What I mean is...I find most fans of Celine care more about her happiness than her music. I'm sure we all lurve her music, but we all lurve her as well. I remember when I was 14, so 1X years ago, this one dude Drew was talking s*** about Celine, so I kicked his #ss til he was bleeding. Nobody is gonna bad mouth her in front of me and get away with it. I was suppose to get a detention, but I stood my ground and I never served it. I stood behind her 110% percent, no matter the consequences. It seems like Celine's fans care about HER, just as much as, or even more-so than her music. I don't think many celebrities have fans who are behind them through thick and thin like Celine does. I feel like I know her personally, and all I want is to see her happy. If that means retiring for good, and that's what she wants, then even though I would miss her music...I'd be way beyond satisfied that she was happy. Her happiness is much more important to me, than me listening to her music. She's such an amazing person. I mean, she's the 5th richest woman in American...she's the best selling female artist ever...she's internationally successful EVERYWHERE in the world...yet she's the sweetest, kindest, most selfless celebrity ever. It's so important to me that her life is filled with nothing but happiness. I think most Celine fans truely want the best for her. I don't think other stars are so lucky. Their fans just want them to keep putting out new stuff whether it be a book, album, movie, etc. Do you guys think Celine's fans are more dedicated to her as a person than other celebrities fans are?

I agree that I so cared about her life, and I don't want her to do a hard world-tour and I'm not expecting a new project in the 5 years, just because I want her to rest and to be with her family and have a good time.

Anytime there will be that will say: "Oh! What's that nose?" and ... "Oh, she's so weird".

I just can't get them, but, anyway...

I don't we have to kick them, but that's true.

I think the love for her personality came from the HUGE love for the music,

I'm so happy that Celine is exist- Both to make me feel wondefull in music, and to see her performances and all that... And both to have model for life, to see the quotes for example, to see what's she thinking about life and how she get over about things, and to get the message behind the songs of course. I just love her so much.

I think any fan of anyone wants their idol to be sucsessful, in normal life, and artistically - whether it be singing, acting, writing ect ect.

 

But knowing how I feel myself, and some other people on here, want Celine to do well at everything, and be happy, that is the most important thing.

 

I do think we care about Celine, as well as the "Celine Dion" everyone knows and loves

Well, it should be because of her great personality you know, she's not only a great singer with wonderful songs, but she's an excellent person, taking good care of her family and look what she did for her husband when he got sick, now that she's a mother is amazing how she lives for her son

 

That's why we just not only follow her music but we love her for the person she is

you are so right. i believe we all care about Celine as a person more than her music. She's a wonderful, kind, caring, ( the list goes on and on) person. i never got into any fights for Celine but people around me know not to bad talk her when i'm around i'm always saying once Celine and her family are happy then i'm good

i agree. i must admit that if celine's gonna leave her carreer for good, i don't know if i would still want to love music in general. for me, MUSIC IS CELINE. but if that's what can complete celine's life and if that would really make her really happy, i'm with her.

yeh i'd like to think so....I dont know coz im not really a fan of anyone else like i am with celine - which shows its pretty much once in a lifetime that sucha match would be made between musician and listener haha. I think to be a propper follower and class yrself as a fan so to speak youd have to love the person as much as the music coz if you just loved the music youd just buy an odd album here and there. but yeh Celine fans do seem to really care which is good. I wouldnt want her to put up with any crap from fans. I think its probably coz we're all so used to defending her more than any other celeb...she gets a bad rap for her cheese but i understand her personality (and u gotta see past it when she lays it on thick, shes not english and sometimes i think she'll use more extravogant words than she needs to), but yeh i love her goofyness, shes got a great sence of humour and i think shes gorgeous! haha we feel we need to protect her haha.

i totally agree with you Jeffieboi! i care about Celine so much! When i see her happy, i feel happy. When she had her infection during a new day in October, i felt so bad, i always want the best for her. Her health and happiness matters more to me then her music. Shes just so amazing and i wish more celebrities and people in general would have her adorable, loving, and caring personality. Celine fans, i think, are more dedicated then other fans of celebrities. If Celine decides to leave the business, i would be crushed. Without Celine, i think there wouldn't be any real music. But if it really matters for her, i would have to suck it up, because we cant control her life, cuz she has a family of her own. i love CELINEE!!!! <33

you're right guys, i have the same behaviour when someone else talk badly about her, here in Algeria some of them find that Céline is ugly but trust me i loose control when i hear that, but i'm very proud of her, i love her for everything she do and i think that our relation with her is more than a classic fanatism, it bacome such a very huge familly over the world!

yeah I totally agree with that!! I lurve 95% of what she'll release...and of course there are a million things I'd like to change but I most want her to be happy!!

I think it also has to do with how the celebrity is reacting on the fans... or how he or she looks at the fans.... Madonna is so unaccessable, for instance she makes sure there are fences places when she's in a hotel.. and hardly every autographs, plus she doesn't talk much about her personal life.... Céline is totally the opposide... which because you know more about her, makes you care more about her personally

You are totally right and I agree about how we care so much for her as a person. I have a theory on why this is but most of you will probably think I'm crazy. But...here it goes anyway!! I believe that Celine is a gift from God and that many of us have a spiritual connection with her that we can't even begin to grasp. I don't see any other explanation for it because I sometimes don't understand my own longing to be close to her and the intense emotions that I feel when listening to her voice. So...take it or leave it, there it is; I've put it out there and I'll take the consequences.

Celine means to me a lot as a musician but as well as a person! she is warm kind, everybody can feel that if they met her! Her personality is that's why she became so successful I think!

But i know on this forum the fans always put celines happiness over there wanting for more music ETC...

 

I think this is because over the years celine has shown her fans exactly who she is

basically what you see is what you get with celine,,, not like soo many other false singers today!!

Also unlike other stars celine has such an amazing connection with her fans,, even though half of us have never met

her in person we know exactly what to expect if we did,,

Maybe we are different in the respect that we know alot more about the person celine aswell as the musician celine

whereas other singers dont really let you get to know the real person,,,

I'm also a big fan of Mariah and Madonna. Their fans also care for Mariah and Madonna, like the fans here care for Céline.

 

Yes, it is true, that Madonna is not that accessable to her fans, than Celine is. On the other hand: Mariah is even more accessable than Celine. (And they are proud to be called her lambs.)

 

Fans are all individuals. I wouldn't beat someone up if he/she said something rude about my idols. I would try to reason with the person who said those things. But of course there are fans who would beat someone up! Personally I don't understand. Don't my idols sing about peace and love? Hero, Can't take that away (Mariah), The power of the dream, Love can move mountains (Celine), Why's it so hard, Nothing really matters (Madonna).

 

But I do remember going to a Michael Jackson concert and everyone around me was in such a state that it scared me. So maybe fans do differ a little...

So true! And also rude to each other on this forum. But that's also on other forums. Everywhere there are fans who are always nasty to other fans. Or who are so selfish at concerts and just push people out of their way.
