Here is the sign that saved the day for me if you don't feel like going way back. The radio station took a pic of it too!
I braved the cold for an entire hour and I brought the warmest stuff for my hands and face, but I was so excited knowing that I was the only one waiting and I had to hold my stuff in case she did stop for a second and I wanted her to see my face.
I just stood back by the garage door on the side really close to the main doors. I saw her personal security all dressed up in suits. I asked another guy standing closer looking my way if he was waiting for Celine.
Hey said "I don't know," which is a dead giveaway that he is! I said I wanted to meet her so bad and he said "You should." I showed him my sign and he said that he liked it. He went over and talked to Michel who was running back and forth and then Michel stood there waiting. Then I didn't want to intrude, so I waitied in case he walked in my direction. He is very fast. So I didn't startle him like I knew him I said "Aren't you Celine's brother?" All Michel said was "hi how are you doing" or something like that. I didn't get to answer and he didn't answer me or ask anything oh well he was doing his business and looking for his sweet sister. That guy should have told Michel I was still over there waiting for Celine.
Then I got really excited as I heard various security talking and asking if Celine has arrived at the airport yet?
Then Michel said 5:31 Celine has landed! Then after 6:00 Celine is 5 blocks away then 6:12 2 blocks away then she was there! Those windows were tinted, but I waved anyway in case she looked. The drivers just raced the two cars into the garage! Dang I will never know if she saw me because I couldn't see her. Nobody waitied like they said they would, but I understand some people don't want to be in the cold or had traffic issues driving from the north or south of MN, but I was so lonely.
I hate the cold, but I said I would be there about an hour and it was exactly an hour! 5:12. I was planning on ealier, but I would have given up, but not after I heard them on their phones saying Celine was on her way woo hoo! There were busses lined up all around and the one by the audio bus had the yellowish clear Christmas lights above the windows on the inside.
I did wait after, but Celine had already left, but I still stayed awhile in case the guy was lying.
Again I was the only one except for a couple who I asked if they were waiting for her and I said I just got a hug from her and she's like no way omg are you kidding me! Then she hugged me and said I just hugged the girl who hugged Celine. I kind of wasn't expecting it but she was fun and nice. I said bye Michel and I think he said goodnight again walking fast and right by me in the same spot. He has a very thick accent and for a moment
that I heard him speaking to that guy he sounded like Steve Martin with his voice.
He is quite short as well.
Is there any really tall ones in the family does anybody know?
Celine's look on her face after she looked at the sign and I told her how long it took me to make it was saying a few different things in my mind. Then she looked down like she was gonna cry, but she hugged me and she had both arms around me gently and it was so unexpected. I cried my eyes out telling my best friend today and she said that is the kind of love most people don't believe in when you don't have to say anything.
I'm really close to her, and I told her you and Celine are the most important people because you both have huge hearts and great personalities. Man I really wish I could be friends with her, but dont we all?! There is no such thing as perfect, but she's so close it's scary cause like For Keeps says she is never mad and is always happy and loving. Is she human some people may wonder.
She's my role model and so is my best friend. Celine is just not there personally unless you meet her for a moment, but she is still part of your life and she just is all about love and every other good quality you can think of she is IT. I will always be a fan.
Oh and all Celine sang was "Purple Rain, Purple Rain." That was it nothing more, but the stuff she said about her having Prince's number was funny. He's from here and the Hard Rock Cafe across the street has some of his wardrobe and a messed up guitar he never used I believe cause it wasn't working right or something.
So that is my before and after outside story. More to come stay tuned.
Here are my crappy pics and my other videos are coming soon.
You can see what I mean by the bad viewing angles. I had to raise my camera really high just to get what I got. I was too busy looking at Celine when she came really close to me because I wanted to get her attention for my sign but that only happened once, so I didn't get pics of her or video. I didn't know those were boots damn! They looked like shoes with the crossed laces.
They still look mummy bandages to me!
P.S. I have questions for everyone else that went.
Did anybody see maman or Rene Charles or Rene in the crowd?
Does anybody remember what ballads she sang in the lavander dress around sections 7?
I would love to see if anybody has pics or video of her leaving that side by the cat walk
and when she points to the sign in my section by the cat walk which would be mine.
I want any pics taken from that side of the stage because I couldn't see her at all once she left.
Anybody that went to this tour did you see her in 1999? That was my first here.
Kyle, for being so far back you are a life saver with those wonderful pics thank you!
How did your mom like the show?

* December 18, 2008. 1st time ever in front row for a concert and it was with my idol Celine!
Dream #1 accomplished.
While singing a ballad the only time Celine looked at me was the time I had my sign up luckily!
She stretched out her arm palm faced up while singing with even more emotion in her eyes when she saw it, so it seemed like it was just for me at that moment.
Dream #2 accomplished with the extra bonus!
She came and left on my side. I went out 1 row, held up my sign and she stopped, held it herself,
and just looked at it with an awe expression on her face, stunned and amazed when she saw all the glitter!
She looked me in the eyes with those beautiful brown eyes of hers she was tuned into me at that moment and didn't look away, again her looking so emotional as I said with a sincere look on my face to her "It took me 5 hours to make this." (could have been more not sure)
She looked down and away very touched like maybe she wanted to cry then she HUGGED me!!!
She held me for more than just a moment She really took her time! I said to her while about to cry from the hug, "I love you so much!" Then that was it I don't think she said a word to me.
I was crying and saying omg all night with my heart racing and my mind in SHOCK from the unexpected hug and my eyes so sore from crying. I was ready to drop when I got home, but was so emotional I stayed up until 6:30 a.m.! Cried a little for a few days after. Sign and front row seat saved the day!
Dream #3 accomplished... Me at :13 NOT my video.
WOW , celineangel7, your story is soooo touching. It just shows that Celine takes time for those who have taken the time for her! She is so compassionate! Your dedication was great too girl! We can all make our dreams come true, we just have to want it bad enough and not give up! CONGRATS.. may you stay on cloud 9 for as long as possible!
Thanks everyone for the pictures and videos!!! She seemed to really be having fun! =)

I just got back from the concert. It was great. The roads going down to the TC were great-coming back they were getting bad so I'm glad that the concert wasn't over the weekend.
Here is my review of my night (it's kind of long but I don't want to leave anything out):
We (group of 3) arrived early to our hotel (Embassy suites-stay there it is great if you go to the twin cities, great comp. bar/breakfast and the rates were good but the pool was closed). Right away when we checked in the guy at the desk right away said "Are you down for the concert?" We said yes-a lot of people were down there for the concert.
We used the skywalk to get to the TC-got lost twice but two guys helped us. We arrived a little before 7 and everyone was waiting in the skywalk to enter and they were super excited (BTW I'M SORRY I DIDN'T SEE CELINEANGEL OR ANYONE THAT I KNOW OF ON THE FORUM;-( ).
The doors opened a little after 7, our tickets were scanned and we were helped to our seats and they were asking people if they wanted drink (is this a VIP thing?) which were like 4 bucks for a bottle of water lol (FL 7 row 3). People were piling in kind of late so Gordie Brown didn't take the stage until about 8:15. Brown was on for 30 minutes and there was a delay for about 15 min. At that point almost all the seats were filled (95-98?%).
Celine came on stage at 9. People on the floor were going nuts a person in front of me had a sign, people on the left of the stage had signs, a card and roses. When she took the stage everyone was standing up and taking pics. I didn't because I don't have a dig. camera. AFter that everyone sat down so people could see. Security told people in the isle to sit down a one point during the show. A few people in front of me and back of me were really annoying with the cameras lol.
The opening she was wearing the lilac dress (and later the vest outfit, white outfit, sexy gold outfit, and black dress) and was stunned at the people there (probably b/c of the postponement. She apologized to Minneapolis for the month wait, talked about her mom, son, etc and that she could talk forever.
She sang the songs everyone has been listed-no x-mas song or Queen but PQTME yes. She talked about Prince as well.
We were like 10 feet away from her-amazing. She is younger looking in person and she is really tiny. She has long legs that make her look taller but she is average hight (5 ft 7 in?))
I know a lot of people have debated the lip-synching (like TPOL I'M YOUR LADY part) but I think everything was live compared to the Youtube clips. Nothing sounded lipped.
RDMH and MHWGO everyone was standing up. They lit real candles during MHWGO and they were like 15 ft from the stay so we didn't see her until the end when was was to the side and front of us.
She got off the stage at the opposite side of me and did get the flowers some brought as we saw on the screen. Everyone in my party had a great time (except for a guy spilling a wine drink on my tourbook but I managed to save it lol and walking back to the hotel after the skywalk was closed lol.)
Did anyone buy a shirt? Did anyone go to the VIP/soundcheck/package? I didn't on both.
Anyway, if I see her again I will get seats higher up as someone else suggested. It was great being close to the stage though).
Anyway, that is my review! My first time seeing Celine yahoo!!
Hi, great review. I was in Floor 1, Row 8. It is true that Celine does look younger and more tiny in person. Even my dad commented on her looks. Great night, fantastic show, and another sold-out crowd.
I few seats on the section right of me were not filled either they didn't sell them or they didn't show...
Thank you everybody I just can't get the image of her hugging me out of my head! It makes me stop and just set my mind in a state of bliss and shock still!
I want more Celine!!! I may have forgotten the added detail that when I told her about my sign and she looked at me her face was priceless! You could pick several emotions to match that look, but listening she was. Her hair was so full and my left hand covered her hair not really her back. The cape thing she goes out with looked so soft I wonder if it was fur? I wanted to cozy up with it and Celine too!
I really wish she didn't have to do her meet and greets literally minutes before the show because people get rushed away without any time to say much. I might get emotional, but I kind of feel like getting my A New Day... dvd out sometime and watching the meet and greet part.
God only knows what I would do if I actually met her anywhere else besides in the venue.
This only makes me love Celine more and I thought I already loved her as much as I could, but this did it!
Kyle, I arrived at 5:12 I missed the bus I originally was going to take because I was getting pretty
for her lol. It all worked out though I got to witness the arrival process.
Without this forum I would not know when or how she arrived.
I seem to join forums of my favorite artists when I go just to look for tour info and get everything else!
I noticed in the tour book that there are a few songs listed that nobody has posted on Youtube.
I loved It's A Man's World! Celine just knows how to be sexy with her voice and moves damn! She's just pure emotion.
My friend told me the person she went with fell asleep a lot, didn't say much, didn't describe anything or answer questions and left before MHWGO! He works way too early way too much. He falls asleep way too much and I'm glad this is her ex bf lol! He is a nice guy, but he doesn't communicate ever!
People backed out on me, so it looks like I won't offer a ticket anymore. I didn't think I was going to be able to gey my money back on my original, but they said because the original date was February to be rescheduled they are taking ticket refunds for a long time yay! I had to get that info from the box office since Ticketmaster made me think it had to be delivered before show time or something.
Man I wish the Celine eyes t-shirt with the glitter was not a baby doll it was so pretty! I think the boutique
should start offering tour merchandise like other artists and bring back the plus sizes for the existing shirts I wanted!
I'm waiting on Youtube because it takes forever for these longer clips on dial-up.

^^Eh Britney is okay, but not sure if I would want to go see her unless it was to see the Pussycat Dolls open and to hear some of her early hits that I liked.
I feel like an idiot now your section 7 was on the other cat walk side lol I looked at my map on the wrong end so yeah you would miss me.
Well I think I have stopped crying now as of Monday. That's "5" days Celine has made me so emotional.
1999 3 days, Las Vegas a few hours.
I think I have been lucky since the day if the concert. My bus transfer expiration time was 5:55
today, and when I got home and turned on the radio predicting that a Celine song would be next it was!
I was floored when I heard Another Year Has Gone By on the radio!!! I requested that years ago and it never was played! Everything I have been predicting lately and 5 has been popping up everywhere.
I belived I was destined to meet Celine and I kind of did. Every time I walked into a store Celine would play! I knew there was a message to that. Wow.
I shared more with people today and they are floored too that I met her and let them listen to my clips and they were very impressed by her voice and what she had written from her heart in the tour book. Now they understand why I love her.

My Date with Celine
By derek ⋅ December 19, 2008 ⋅ Print the post. ⋅ commentellen
Last night I took a musical trip that I had never previously deemed probable. At the behest of a (damned) good friend, I hog-tied and muzzled my musical tastes and attended a Celine Dion stadium show. Yeah, that’s right C-E-L-I-N-E D-I-O-N, $250 million diva and reigning global matriarch of all things bombastic and plastic in pop. Long story short, I survived. But the extraordinary thing was that rather than an exercise in extreme sensory masochism, the experience was actually quite a bit of fun. Not on the level of past excursions to the venue to witness the magic of Neil Diamond and Stevie Nicks, but surprisingly palatable nonetheless.
Our gratis seats were decent: center middle-tier with clear sightlines to the stage and the mass of Jumbotrons that hung from the cavernous Target Center ceiling. The opening act crooner, whose name I missed, took an unfortunate turn into painful stand-up impressions of Jack Nicholson, Tom Cruise and Michael Jackson in medley fashion. His set was mercifully brief. With a nice supply of liquor percolating in my belly, I steeled my numbed faculties for the impending spectacle.
Dion took the stage without much delay, murmuring mea culpas to the audience for an earlier cancellation back in October. Several of the songs were vaguely familiar thanks mainly to my mom (she’s a longtime fan and insists on spinning Dion cds during my annual visits to the Old Pueblo no matter the degree of my protestations). But it was immediately apparent that the songs structures themselves were secondary. Each was first and foremost a springboard for Dion’s theatrical vocals. Her octave-spanning pipes are no joke. The woman can sing and soaringly so. That she opts to couch her obvious technical talents in bloated sentimental contexts is another matter, but live even that offense seemed forgivable.
A square stage with rising and receding checkerboard platforms was home to a band that I could never get completely accurate count on; two drummers, three guitarists (?), a bassist, keyboardist, violinist and a revolving retinue of colorfully-clad back-up singers and dancers were all so busy roaming the boundaried grounds. Dion was conscientious about traversing the circuit as well. Any time her back was turned, the several story tall Jumbotrons made certain her oval, make-up caked face and graceful figure were in view. Not as many costume changes as Madonna or Cher, but still a respectable number for a diva of her standing.
My friend, a big fan, waited breathlessly with the thousands-strong thong for her signature song, the treacly theme from Titanic that’s sold several gazillion copies and gone something like quadruple platinum. Dion seemed to sense the anticipation, leaving it to final encore and pulling out the stops. Once again the Jumbotrons sealed the deal with choice clips from the flick culminating in the bronzed bodies of Winslet and DiCaprio embracing on the doomed ship’s bow at sunset. With that, the pinnacle of pop pap had been scaled and a victory flag planted. The enamored masses erupted in Richter-measurable applause. I with them, if only for moment, and with the not entirely unpleasant realization that my ear canals had effectively been clogged with aural cheese.
Yay more videos! I was hoping to see myself on the leaving one, but it looks like she was going through the exit. I can only dream of getting a picture or video. One of my friends is playing with my mind and I said, well I wish I had proof, but you'll have to just go with my word. I rarely ever lie, but like anyone else I do joke around, but I let you know right after. I would NOT lie about anything that's important like Celine. It did happen! Why would I cry for longer than I did in 1999? Some people really like to bug me. We know how generous Celine is.
Is anyone currently a TeamCeline member and if so, do you check that forum for tour stuff like pics and vids?
