maybe she will go back to Vegas in June, but that doesn't mean she also performs right then... if she is having a baby (i hope) she will be in vegas in june, rehearse, going to her little home, and have the premiere somewhere in fall 2010...

Don't forget that Celine wouldn't announce the baby until after 3 or so months, so it could have already worked but not past the "delicate" stage of early pregnancy.
Oh, and the June date is only pencilled in - not official. Don't take it as gospel just yet!!

Ticketprices are always calculated on several issues. One of those is "offer and demand" strategy. When the demand is there and people are ready to obtain a ticket you can easily raise the price of the tickets and still sell them... While tickets for the AND show weren't exactly cheap they weren't to highly priced eather... If you know the demand for tickets is there for at least xxx shows there is no risk to raise a price...
While the shows did run to the end the demand was still there for the tickets, so yes, AEG, Ticketmaster & Co raised to prices to gain even more profit from those tickets. Could you blame them? I actually don't think you can. It are the buyers that set the price in the end... Just till the day the price is just to high and people won't buy them anymore... During the worldtour you saw a similar thing... Some countries were selling the shows for 60 EUR, others for 80 and others (like Antwerp for example) just started arround 80 EUR (about 100 USD) and gone up just to +160 EUR or a bitt less then 200 USD. Or Monaco where people payed 500 EUR (700 USD) to see the show...
Every year I read the newspapers about the famous "Rock Werchter" festival in Belgium. Year after year chosen as the best festival in the world, year after year everyone is yelling that tickets are getting way to expensive... Every single year before the festival (4 days) starts the news is full with this "crap"... If they really find it to expensive they wouldn't go anymore... But since the festival is year after year sold out I doubt they would lower their prices soon...
Af for the new show in Vegas.... I think tickets would start arround 90 to 100 USD going up to 300 USD for the first shows. You can probably multiply this since the demand will be to much for the offer and tickets will be sold on sites like Ticketexchange and co for a couple of times the amount originally payed for. Maybe later it will level to "normal" prices again to raise again when the shows are going to the end...
Simple basic economics...
I won't mind paying 300 USD or more for the best seat in the house, at least if I can buy the ticket at face value and not on one of the auctionsites like Ticketmasters Ticketexchange division...

Update from Los Angeles Times: Update: John Meglen president of AEG Live and Concerts West who promotes Dion's concerts as well as the venue at Caesars writes in reply to my query with charming cheekiness: "....yes I can confirm that Robin is reporting it!........sorry.....no comment other than the normal...We Love Celine!"
The last part is actually very interresting... AEG live won't deny the rumour... They won't confirm it either but the fact that it's not denied says something...
So actually the are confirming it by not denying it

It'll be interesting to see what kind of show they do. I'd put money on a new album launch around the same time

Being vegas, and as they are friends and did so well in the past working together....
I think Dragone will be involved in the visual aspect, but not as much as A new day.
That was a show, and I think this will be more of a concert, so it will be very different but still have that hint of cirque du soleil in there somewhere ( I think anyway ).
And if I'm right, being a concert, Celine will not have to rehearse as much as she would have to for a show, like the time spent in belguim and in vegas for A new day... getting it all spot on, which would be great.
But it has to be different from the ''TC'' tour at the same time, it has to be fresh, and have that vegas touch/feel you can only see performed in vegas if you know what I mean, as they have the best lights, technology, sound, and people working on those shows/concerts there.....
The colossuem I felt was so intimate and you felt that were ever you were seated in there, that you were so close to Celine and it was cosy, but on tour I loved how she interacted with fans freely unlike vegas were it was mostly scripted....
So I think it will be the best of both worlds if it is a concert more than a show, so we'll have the best of both worlds and the ultimate experience!!
I'm just excited to find out more over the coming weeks and months of what we can expect, when dates are announced, when it has a name/title , and we can buy tickets!!!!
No matter what month it is next year, I'm in vegas mode today and I'm hotel browsing, deciding where I'm gonna stay already, lol.
Sod xmas, I'm more excited about vegas 2010, wo hooooooo
Darren.

Darren if you are so close to all these people, can you ask if Celine will get pregnant or not? Because if there are such statements that she will come back there next year there is rather not possible for her to have another child

Celine's home/private life is her business.... I dont get involved in that side of her life....
But if Celine becomes pregnant, I'm sure she'll be the 1st to let us all know anyway!! he he
Fingers crossed for her!

You don't need anyone to go to Vegas with! Meet up with people from the forum once you get there, I"m sure a ton of us will be around and everyone's super friendly. I was in the same situation with Montreal. No one I knew from home wanted to spend the money to go to Montreal for a week in FEBRUARY when its below 0 to see Celine lol so I went by myself. I made so many new friends and that week was the best of my life to say the least. In my opinion trips are more exciting when you're by yourself, you can do whatever you want, and you are more inclined to meet some new friends.
And who cares if we all are already planning/"stressing"/saving money? We're just excited Celine fans. Besides if the 2010 date is true for her to begin, it's not too early to start saving.

I can hardly listen to her songs that she performed in Vegas as it reminds me to much of the show and I can just picture everything in my mind when listening to the songs.
I am saving and trying to get a friend with me to the show. If she wont come, then I will go alone or invite my sister like I did last time.
I just hope that IF she comes back to Las Vegas, that she wont have the first show around christmas or new year as that´s the only time I can´t travel to Las Vegas. I´m definetly going to the first show!
Oh and I hope it will be a show like last time, not a concert. But not the same show as last time, different songs and dances..

If you think I don't understand "simple basic economics" you're sadly mistaken. However, I'm not going to go any further with this as I have a feeling it would go a direction I'd not like it to.
With that said I was thinking this morning about something that peaked my curiosity. When/If Céline comes back to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas will she have a store again? If so, where will it be located? Will she take over Elton's store location? Will she share her old store loaction with its new residents, Cher and Bette Midler? Will Cher and Better get the boot and be relogated to Elton's former paddock? I'm very curious!
...Joe...
