You should have posted that in the youtube links you'd like to share thread. Anyway, idc, haha, I love that performance. The high note is kinda shaky, but still, she pulled it off magnifaceintly!

Lol. It's live though. So I don't care how shaky it is. As long as it's not 2002 Oprah show shaky. lol

My god, the Oprah performance was awful! I dunno why they made her sing it in the original key!!

The Dancing with the Stars performance was quite good, but she sounded like a sheep goat ba-a-a-a-a-a on the high notes!!

Sounds awesome! This way she'll have the best of both worlds, remaining in showbiz doing what she does like no other and still have a somewhat normal family life, a HOME for her family/child(ren). Not a too hectic schedule, hopefully shouldn't be too stressful anyway, still having time for herself and those around her.. Couldn't be more happy for her!

[start of rant]

For those who are complaining that "everyone can't go to Vegas/She should do a worldtour so that I can see her/what about her fans?!/". Excuse me (no, scratch that, I am not apologizing for what I'm about to say) but comments like that make be sick. The woman has been on the road for a YEAR. Her young son has been flown all over the world seeing his mother surrounded by screaming people and photographers for twelve MONTHS. Can you imagine what that's like? The kid deserves a normal life with his parents to himself, and to sleep in the same bed everynight, go to school and have friends over.. And there are people who are selfish enough to want them back on the road AGAIN? Serisoulsy?

And no, the majority of the people on this planet can't afford a Vegas trip, I will not be able to go again, but so what? That's MY problem, who the h*** am I to want her to come to ME?

And "why Vegas, AGAIN?! Why not Paris or somewhere in this or this continent".. Well, first of all it's been the hometown to RC, they most likely LIKE it there, and again: who are we to complain? If it doesn't suit us, we don't HAVE to go.. they're not making us..

*sigh* some people    [rant over]

Can't wait to hear all about it when you guys go to see this!
I'll definitely enjoy it through you! :D

Thanks Frida , I agree as well :-)

I'll look for it. It was probably one of her worst performances. But it was her first performance since coming back from break wasn't it?

Hello,

And WHAT WOULD BE YOUR IDEAS FOR THIS SHOW?
-Do you think they should be back with "A New Day...2" (the same show universe, with new songs)
-Do you think (I do) they should be back with a brand new show?
-Do you think they should work again with Franco Dragone? (I'm sure they will).

Well, the show will take place in the Colosseum, which is Greek inspiration, then she is in the desert,
so I think Celine should do a more exotic show. I don't know if any of you does know Sarah Brightman's Harem album and show.
This is very exotic, desert and hot.I think Celine should do a show like that and a new album in English with oriental tunes.

Ps : And René is from Orient, too!

Celine should be back with "A New Day...". The setlist would stay the same. They can add new songs with the ones from the DVD and CD. But she must sing "That's the Way it It Is." It's my favorite Celine song. Also they can get new Dancers to get the opportunity of working with Celine. They should bring back Franco Dragone and the entire creative team and Musicians.

My idea for the set list would be the following

01. A New Day Has Come
02. The Power of Love
03. Alone
04. Dans un autre monde
05. It's All Coming Back to Me Now
06. Because you Loved Me
07. To Love You More
08. River Deep Mountain High
09. I'm Alive
10. Taking Chances
11. I Drove all Night
12. Seduces Me
13. J'irai ou tu iras
14. If I Could
15. Acoustic medley: Ce n'était qu'un rêve /D'amour ou d'amitié / Mon ami m'a quittée / L'amour exist e encore / Un garçon pas comme les autres (Ziggy)
16. Pour que tu m'aimes encore
17. That's Just the Woman In Me
18. I Surrender
19. Ammore Annascunnuto
20. Sinatra Medley: All the Way / I got the World on a String
21. Shadow of Love
22. The Prayer (With Andrea Bocelli)
23. Queen Medley: We Will Rock You / The Show Must Go On
24. Tribute To Elton / Cher / Bette: Philadelphia Freedom Don't Go Breaking My Heart / Believe / If I could Turn back Time / I'll Put a Spell on You / The Rose
25. I Wish
26. Love Can Move Mountains
27. That's the Way it Is
28. My Heart will Go On

Celine can't sing 39 songs in one show, no matter how many acts it's broken down into. A New Day had 18 songs when it was recorded for the DVD and that was a decent length show, how could she sing another 21 on top of those? That's over double the amount of songs. It would be too much strain on her voice and the show would run all night....

Smart thinking. Unless some of the songs will be cut and new ones would be addes

Yeah they should definitely have a "bank" of prepared songs that they can switch in and out over the course of the show and keep it fresh. For the TC tour it was reported they had rehearsed 60 songs but the show barely changed other than a few cuts and a couple of additions now and then. I understand that A New Day relied heavily on choreography, custom made backgrounds for the screen, props etc that all had to be planned and rehearsed so switching songs wasn't an easy task, but they should now know better than ever how to do it and I'm hoping they'll make plans for this and will rehearse and prepare for songs to add as the show progresses.

LMAO! you say she should stick with AND, but then you come up with a 39 song setlist!     :P

I think they should start from scretch for the new show. Not look at past setlists or 'medleys' or dances... just think about what you want to do, then search songs that go with it... the TC tour started off really good, creative, innovative and fresh, but somewhere in Europe routine kicked back in (setlist wise!!!) and in the USA is just sank to the boring old again!

but I agree... the show should be changed every year or so! AND was great, but I think there should have been more various in songs!

That was definitely not one of her best performances... But she was very nervous. Have you guys noticed that every time Celine comes back from a break she gets this weird kind of stage fright. It is as if she is scared to use her voice. I even noticed it last year when she came back after being sick for a month. For the first couple of shows she was very nervous. But once she has her confidence back, she is her old self again. I just hope that that does not happen when she comes back next year...

She sure made up for it at the end of the show when she sang At Last. It was the best rendition she ever gave of that song!

I don't see what you see wrong with that performance on Oprah  . I see her with a very fresh and pure voice. I see her singing with lots of more intonation and feeling than today  Well, not at the end of MHWGO moment, but the rest of the performance she has a great voice, nothing to see with the nasal and tired voice she has today :ermm:

I don't think the bad MHWGO had anything to do with her being nervous. I'm sure she was, but that wasn't why it wasn't good.

It was just in the wrong key. Simple as that. At Last and A New Day Has Come were perfect because they were in the proper key.

When she came back from her break and sang MHWGO at her CBS special she sounded great, and she would have been more nervous there than at Oprah. She hit the notes and had real power in her voice then so I think it was just one of those days where some songs sound better than others.

Yeah, I thought that too... but it was a pure Céline, and I loved it!
Never seen it before! Thanks!

btw... anyone have the mp3 of this medley? :shy: I would love to hear it in a higher quality! Thank you very much in advance! ^_^

I thought that she sounded better in 2007 and during the tour than she sounded in 2002/2003 during her come back...

60 songs... imagine what they could do with the setlist... a different show for each country
and i still dont get it why they choose the same old songs... :-(

Because the ''old songs'' are the songs 95% of the crowd want to hear...

I don't know if this has been posted somewhere before, but for those of you who were wondering, here is a list of the songs Celine and her band rehearsed before the TC tour:

I drove all night
I got the music in me
The power of love
Destin
Et s'il n'en restait qu'une (je serais cella-la)
Je lui dirai
Taking chances
It's all coming back to me
Because you loved me
To love you more
New Mego's Flamenco
Eyes on me
Dans un autre monde
Ziggy
All by myself
I'm alive
Shadow of love
Fade away
Alone
My love
Tout l'or des hommes
Je sais pas
J'irai ou tu iras
S'il suffisait d'aimer
On ne change pas
Think twice
I'm your angel
The prayer
Pour que tu m'aimes encore
We will rock you
The show must go on
Can't fight the feelin'
That's just the woman in me
Sex machine
Soul man
I got the feeling
Respect
Lady marmalade
Sir Duke
It's a man's world
Love can move mountains
River deep mountain high
My heart will go on
Immensite
Je ne vous oublie pas
J'ai la musique en moi

She also performed ''A song for you'' and ''A world to believe in'' (with Yuna Ita) on two seperate occasions, but those weren't included on the list. Oh yeah, she also performed ''A new day has come'' once but that was also not on the list (no wonder she forgot the words).

Most of the songs on that list was performed at least once.

P.S. Big mistake not performing Immensite.

Yeah,"Immensité" would have been a great addition to the show.

Hi all don't know if any body posted this yet but vegasdeluxe.com has an article about Celine returning to vegas on June 2010.

It's not confirmed yet, but at least there is some hope

He seemed pretty confident about her comming back

Anyway enjoy!
