Why TeamCeline does not offer soundcheck invitations as prices for some contsets or so?? Than it would be sure that this exclusive oportunity is given to real fans and not just to some boring rich high rollers who only need to add this to their CVs VIPs...

I am not sure whether you meant that sarcastically (that it's outrageously priced) or whether you were happily surprised (that it's a good deal)!

That could not have been the hot sound package. I was looking at it and it was $900 or a little more. We ended up just getting front row thru the Auction for Birmingham. But we did buy a hot sound package for Montreal.

I think this talk of "true fan" stuff is absurd. No one is a true fan, we are all fans. Just cause someone buys something more or less expensive, or they have a larger collection doesn't make them any more or less devoted.
Flashing the cash certainly doesn't buy fandom. Everyone that has bought a single song of Celine's is a fan.
I love Celine, in fact she is pretty much the only artist I'll buy, some say I'm insane! I don't care ;o)
I got my Hot Sound Package for Manchester on 2nd May. Celine is the biggest selling female artist in the world, she has the right to charge what she wishes. She is the only one who'll pay when the shows don't sell out, however they did.
It should be stated also that she only charges the going rate for an artist of her calibre. Whilst I acknowledge these things aren't cheap, how many other artists would offer such an opportunity.
Finally, I do agree that I think TeamCeline could do more, being her official fan club and all.
(PS anyone been to a Hot Sound Package in South Africa? I would be interested to know about your experience)

I'm assuming that they werent available b/c the venue is still under construction and they weren't sure how things would come together... Knowing the cities government, they will have a VIP section with the mayor, city councilors, etc... bastards!

Its only fair.... because many fans could not afford to travel to vegas to see celine, & many cannot afford these crazy prices either for this soundcheck package that all fans would love (its a dream for any celine fan lets face it!)....so i think tc should give its members this opportunity!!!

I thought about selling my body, but that wouldn't even get me a category one ticket!
Sadly, the music industry is a business like any other and, at the end of the day, it all comes down to money. And unless they recover from the problems caused by illegal downloading etc they will continue to find other ways to get money from the publuc.
I try not to think about it too much, because it's quite depressing and takes away from the fantasy somehow.
It's bad enough when ticket touts buy the best seats and then sell them for huge prices to people who have money, but it's even worse when official ticket sellers introduce auctions on their sites to encourage people to compete for the best seats. Whatever happened to first come first served? It's nothing more than legalised robbery and that's saying nothing about the ridiculous handling fees they apply to each ticket! (I doubt Celine stands to earn anything from this aspect of ticket sales).
When I saw that ticketmaster did the same thing for the last shows in Vegas I was disgusted. I had tickets to see the show in October but unfortunately it was cancelled. I really wanted to buy tickets for the December shows but they were all apparently sold out. Of course, it wasn't completely sold out because ticketmaster had reserved the best seats in order to make money from the rich or the stupid
And one final gripe before I go
The Power Of Love (several versions) - Céline Dion
The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - Roberta Flack
Si dieu existe - Céline Dion & Claude DuBois
Frankenstein - Antony & the Johnsons
In Some Small Way - Céline Dion
Bird Gerhl - Antony & the Johnsons
Le blues du businessman - Céline Dion

I know a girl who paid like $300 and had 2nd row seats... We were all pretty confused as to why there wasn't a section marked off in maybe the first 2 rows for the soundcheck purchasers.... It really didn't make sense. I mean yes, we went to the soundcheck (wonderful) and we got to meet Celine (wonderful) and we got food before the show (
Did anyone else who went to a soundcheck and had hot sound tix have this probelm? I'm curious to see where other hot sound package ppl ended up seated for the concert.

was "SOLD OUT"!!! My only option was on the black market where the auctions started around $2000.00 per ticket!!!
I bought regular tickets for both shows, but noticed that there was A LOT of EMPTY seats close to the platforms. I think Team Celine could do a much better job
helping fans to get better seats!
