Considering we have still got the release of
Kylies, Alicia keys & Shayne Wards Albums all to come before christmas
and to be quite honest i think Leona will stay at the top for a couple of weeks to begin with
because she released a good debut single which has been number one for like 4 weeks now

But i know for sure if they release Eyes On Me before christmas, then there is a hint of a chance of the album gettin a higher position!!

the good thing is if it sold more than 60 000 copies then on a normal week this would be enough to get to Number 1, I reckon we will be Gold by next week.

It also mean that the album has went Silver (60 000) after one week

You shouldn't be comparing what Miracle debuted at.  You have to look at the number of copies sold!!! It depends on what else is released that week and the time of year. If Celine had released this album in January or February, it would have been number 1 in many countries (why do you think Whoriah is waiting until after Christmas??)...

This is much better than you think for the uk, its good numbers as I said before a normal week this would be Number 1

well today went to a cd store they have put celine's album on no7!! but it's not official one yet..
the official one comes out 2moro!
hope it's higher!!

i still think not that many people have heard the album yet.. maybe just TC...
and it will certainly go bigger next year!

Well, actually I don't care so much about the album entering the charts on #1 right away on week 1.
That counts more are sales in a longer period of time so let's see in one year how this album has been doing the whole year - after all singles released and Céline being on tour.

I really think the album may climb the charts when Sony releases RIGHT singles ("Fade Away"!!!) and when the tour will be successful and well refered in medias.

If I'm right, the only English album of Céline that reached #1 in France was "LTAL" after the "MHWGO" boom - no other English album did it in France, even "FIY" didn't!

And in the UK... well, Leona will stay at #1 because I just ordered her album off amazon uk, hahah! j/k

Why Sony released the album the same week they released Alicia's album and the new 'Now thats what I call music...' is beyond me!  They know that "Now" tops the charts almost every time its released!!  


BTW..  I wanted Alicia's CD but told everyone that I was waiting till this week to buy it so it wouldn't screw with Celine's sales.  Well, my hubby bought it for me for my birthday as a joke...  He got read...

WOW, AMAZING...well done in Ger!!! I was in Saturn last Saturday and saw AS I AM everywhere(on the top and best seller areas) but only one disc of Taking chances(at the bottom) (some mins later it vanished), thought that AK would win over our dear C in Ger too...but wow...Celine won...yahoo

@ Julian: I think these positions you posted are from Amazon.de - I was there today to order Die Ärzte album for my hubby's birthday (ok, I like them too - they are so funny!) and saw exactely the same charts positions on their top selling charts.

Just thought I'd throw this in... I just went to WalMart (for ice cream) at lunch and they said they are completely sold out of Taking Chances EXCEPT for the Walmart exclusive edition.
