celinerific Posted September 6, 2007 at 12:52 AM Posted September 6, 2007 at 12:52 AM (edited) As you all know I looovvveee Celine and I enjoy Kenny G's music a lot. But wouldn't it be amazing if they recorded a song together? I can just hear it in my head already. The beautiful soprano sax. and that gorgeous soprano voice. Edited September 6, 2007 at 12:53 AM by celinerific Quote http://i58.tinypic.com/2qbub9c.png @ErikaTran | Insta: aireexwp | erikatran.com
Loup_garou Posted September 6, 2007 at 01:08 AM Posted September 6, 2007 at 01:08 AM (edited) sure you can hear it in your head the collaboration it's called "Halfway To heaven" from the Celine Dion album she says: "I am still trying to convince myself that you actually played on my record ...what a thrill! Thank you!" Edited September 6, 2007 at 01:14 AM by Loup_garou Quote
nano Posted September 6, 2007 at 04:13 AM Posted September 6, 2007 at 04:13 AM yeah...Kenny played on the "Halfway to heaven". I love saxophone..I'd love to hear more often. zanif Posted September 6, 2007 at 10:48 AM Posted September 6, 2007 at 10:48 AM just an opinion: kenny g, dave koz, jim brickman, richard elliott, kitaro, richard claderman (spelling?) are all has beens. i don't recommend celine doing a record with any of them at all. if she does, then i hope its super nice and wins a grammy. RLAAMJR. Posted September 8, 2007 at 06:54 AM Posted September 8, 2007 at 06:54 AM That would sound like another "To love You more" song again... But it would be very great to see 2 great musicians playing music together. I wonder if Celine can try practicing the saxophone and will have a little part to play the saxophone to a song. And the rest will be kenny G playing. Quote

He just wrote a song for Reba McEntire and the song is an INCREDIBLE ballad. It captures Reba's style perfectly but adds a more contemporary vibe which stretches her own artistry. I would LOVE to see him work something like this for Celine. I'd also love to hear an angry rocker duet with Kelly Clarkson. Now, THAT would KILL!!!!! firebird Posted September 9, 2007 at 01:49 PM Posted September 9, 2007 at 01:49 PM I can tolerate that he played on Halfway To Heaven or on The Music That Makes Me Dance (with Barbra Streisand) - those songs are grea for themselves - but apart from that he's got nothing on some real saxophonists like John Coltrane or Jan Gabarek. Since someone mentionned it, the comparison with Richard Clayderman is really appropriate, both make this unspectacular, mellow sound on their instruments, good as accompaniment for some pop tune or elevator entertainment. I like the saxophone sound, but he's not good. I'm quite positive Celine chose him because of his "reputation" and not for his "talent" For saxophone listen to those Jan GabarekJohn Coltrane Quote
