Hi Everyone! I thought that at this point in Celines career it would be good to discuss what awards are her most important and meaningful ones that she's won so far. Here's my list of the top 10 that I believe that were her most important:

1. The Diamond Award at The World Music Awards in 2004- This Award was given not only to celebrate that Celine had sold over 175 million albums worldwide, now we know that she has sold about 200 million albums!!!, but also to celebrate that Celine became the very best selling female artist ever in the whole world!!!!!!! Rene and Celine were very proud of this award, and I know I loved seeing Celine get it, we all had to!!!! This has to be her most important award so far!!!

2. The Grammy Award for Record Of The Year in 1999- For My Heart Will Go On. Given to show that Celine's song of her career was the biggest song of the year!!!! This is the best award that any song can get in a year, and this song deserved it!!!! It had become the biggest radio hit in history in America and it #1 on almost every chart in America and The World!

3. The Grammy Award for Album Of The Year in 1997- For Falling Into You. Her Biggest moment for this album, it is in my opinion her greatest english album.

4. The World Musis Award- for The World's Overall Best Selling Recording Artist in 1997. This was given to Celine for selling more albums and singles than anyone in 1996! The biggest award any artist could win for sales in one year and Celine got it!!!! She gave a great speech and song one of her most underrated, meaningful songs Call The Man.

5. The Yamaha Music Festival Award for Best Song. Celine's very first Award. Big moment!

6. The Juno Award in 1991 for Female Vocalist of the Year. Her first award for female vocalist at the Juno's and this was a big award! Her loyal Canadian fans loved seeing Celine get this and so did her worldwide fans!

7. The American Music Award in 1998 for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist. The first American Music Award for Celine!

8. The Peoples Choice Awards in 1999 for Favorite Female singer of the past year. Big Award to get in America and Celine really loved getting it!

9. The Billboard Music Awards in 1998 for Album of the year for Titanic. Yes this award was given to Celine!!! She is the biggest reason the Titanic soundtrack sold over 11 million copies in America!

10. The American Music Awards in 2003 for Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist of the year. She won this award 2 times in 2003, in January and November!! She has to be the only artist to do that!!!!

Well, that is my top 10!!! Do U Agree? If not what is your top 10? Remember I am a American so I am not sure of every award Celine has won, so please if you have your own opinion post it!

Derek F. you hit it right on the money. Those are the ones I would have listed. Celine has won many awards from both the American and Canadian recording industry. I love watching her win awards.

I think the top one would definitely be the Diamond Award. It's a great accomplishment to be known as the best-selling female artist in the world.

Don't forget that in 1998, she got about half a dozen Billboard Music Awards. There were so many of them, when she went to pick them up, they almost tore her leotard off of her...

Her first ones: Yamaha festival (1982), Oscar (1992), Grammy (1993), Diamond Award (2004), the Orders of Quebec & Canada... Did I miss something?

It's been several years since I created this topic, but in honor of Celine's 40th career anniversary, I would now like to add to my original top 10 list, let's call it... the top 12, lol, and add two more very important awards Celine has achieved in her career-

• The Canadian Music Hall of Fame award, which was established in 1978 and recognizes Canadian artists that have attained commercial success while having an artistic impact on the Canadian music scene here at home and/or around the world. (I'm shocked that Celine hasn't won this yet!, hopefully she is awarded with this prestigious honor soon!)
  
• The Gershwin Prize Award- The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song is an award given to a composer or performer for their lifetime contributions to popular music. Created in 2007 by the United States Library of Congress.
  
• The Polar Music Prize- The Polar Music Prize is one of the most prestigious and unique music prizes in the world, crossing over musical boundaries and awarded to individuals, groups and institutions in recognition of exceptional achievements.

Only seven artists to date, have won this special award.
  
• The American Music Award- Icon Award: was created to honor an artist whose body of work has made a profound influence over pop music on a global level.
  
• The American Music Award Lifetime achievement Award

Grammy Awards- Special Awards-

• The Grammy Legend Award
  
• The Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award

Did I miss any important awards Celine has achieved in her incredibly successful 40 year career?
