Patricia Kaas is my favourite artist!
She has sold over 15000000 albums all over the world.
After celine she's the most known french speaking artisit.
She's a star in europa, russia, poland, roumania corea japan.
She has made a duet with James Tayor on her album produced by Phil Ramone.

Her tour will come in america in september and october
27/9 SAO PAOLO (Via Funchal) BRAZIL
29/9 RIO DE JANEIRO (Claro Hall) BRAZIL
there will be shows in USA and Canada.

Her duet in italian has been cancelled.It might appear on her last live album.

I don't know her, but I'm sure she's great! And she's with Sony so she must be good. (Even if Sony's not the best record lable, you've gotta adimt. They've got some pretty GOOD artists.)

SONY has many lame singers too. and other labels have many talented singers, too. so I don't think consider singer by label is a good method.

She really has a great voice. I once saw her live and also saw her while she was shopping cause she was born very close to where I live (about 20 minutes away from here) and the biggest city here is called Saarbrücken. I often go there for shopping and once I saw her cause this city is more than close to where she originally comes from. She also has performances here quite often cause she said she likes to perform in this area

I actually love Patricia Kaas.  My favourite song by her is Le mot de passe, means a lot to me.  I also LOVE Les chansons commencent... so powerful.

She is amazing, I love her voice and her style, she is pretty good.

The album "dans ma chair" is wonderful .It was produced by Phil Ramone.
The two albums produced by Robin Millar are the typic style of Patricia Kaas, "Piano Bar by Patricia Kaas" and "Je te dis vous".
"Je te dis vous" was released in USA but the name is "Tour de Charme".

There is an all english album produced by Phil Ramone "Black Coffee" .in this album she sings standard such as "Sometimes it snows in april" "Ain't no sunshine" "You don't have to say you love me" "My life"...It's a very good album but it never released.I have this album

It's true that the JJG songs are the best songs of Patricia.
"Je voudrais la connaitre" is emotional. It deals with the story of a woman who wants to know the new wife of hes husband.It's one of the best song. "les chansons commencent" are also very good or "La fille de l'est".

Patricia will come in NY, LA Boston Washington DC abd many other dates.
The last time she came the Beacon Theatre in NY was sold out for two shows.(6000 peoples).

I like almost all the songs you mentioned above. "Je voudrais la connaitre" is such a typical JJG epic love song.   but my favorite Patricia song is "Il Me Dit Que Je Suis Belle".

Yeah, I heard about that and I think it's pretty cool. The Song is great. Do you know if there is a site where I can download her performance @ "Germany 12 Points"? That'd be great

Yeah, I have seen her yesterday and I was really surprised she was singing in German. Didn't know she's able to speak our language.

Patricia speaks english and german.
She has recorded two albums in english (Piano Bar and Black Coffee) she has recorded three songs in german ( Ganz und gar, Unter der Haut, Herz eines Kämpfers).

Mit einem umjubelten Auftritt in der Stuttgarter Liederhalle ging am 1. Dezember 2004 die letztjährige Deutschlandtour des französischen Superstars Patricia Kaas zu Ende - die ausverkaufte Konzertreise hatte im vergangenen Juli mit einigen Open Airs in Hamburg, Köln und Frankfurt begonnen und die 38jährige Sängerin und Schauspielerin durch insgesamt dreizehn Städte geführt.

Deutsche Kaas-Fans müssen jedoch nicht lange auf ihren Star verzichten: Ihren Aufenthalt in der Bundesrepublik nutzte Patricia Kaas, die 2003 für ihre Verdienste um die deutsch-französische Freundschaft mit dem Bundesverdienstkreuz ausgezeichnet wurde, um einen Song in deutscher Sprache aufzunehmen. In Zusammenarbeit mit den erfolgreichen Rosenstolz-Musikern, -Songschreibern und -Produzenten Peter Plate und Ulf Leo Sommer entstand das Stück „Herz eines Kämpfers“, das im Frühjahr 2005 als Single veröffentlicht wird. Peter Plate und Ulf Leo Sommer über die gemeinsame Produktion: „Wir verehren Patricia Kaas schon seit langer Zeit. Als wir 1990 nach Berlin gekommen sind, drehte sich unser musikalischer Kosmos auch viel um sie. Wir waren schon immer extrem an französischer Musik interessiert und konnten uns dafür begeistern. Während der Arbeit am ersten Rosenstolz-Album meinte unser damaliger Produzent eines Tages: ‚Peter, irgendwann wirst du bestimmt einmal ein wunderschönes Lied für Patricia Kaas produzieren!’ Was damals unerreichbar schien und einfach ein Traum war, hat sich heute für uns erfüllt. Wir hatten die große Ehre und Herausforderung, mit Patricia zu arbeiten. Speziell für sie haben wir den Titel ‚Herz eines Kämpfers’ geschrieben und mit ihr produziert. Die Arbeit war einfach fantastisch und hat uns sehr glücklich gemacht.

Ein Patricia-Kaas-„Best Of“ Album inklusive Live-DVD folgt nun am 29.3.2005. Bereits bei ihren jüngsten Konzerten hierzulande ließ es sich die Französin nicht nehmen, ihrem deutschen Publikum Monate vor der offiziellen Veröffentlichung den Titel live vorzustellen. „Herz eines Kämpfers“ ist für die Französin der erste Song in Deutsch seit ihrem Duett „Unter der Haut“ mit Erkan Aki im Jahre 1999. Vor mehr als zehn Jahren hatte die in Forbach, Lothringen geborene Sängerin ihren ersten deutschsprachigen Titel veröffentlicht – „Ganz und gar“ war auf dem 1993er-Album „Je Te Dis Vous“ enthalten, dass bis Platz elf der Media Control Album Charts kam. Beide Songs erschienen als Singles und konnten sich in den Top 100 der deutschen Single-Charts platzieren.



Nicht selten tragen sich entscheidende Ereignisse in der Karriere des „Fille de l’est“ - wie Patricia Kaas in ihrer Heimat bisweilen bezeichnet wird – in den letzten Wochen des Jahres zu: So erschien ihr Debütalbum „Mademoiselle Chante Le Blues" des „Mädchens aus dem Osten (Frankreichs)“ im November des Jahres 1988. Und ebenfalls im November, allerdings drei Jahre später, wurde ihr erstes Live-Album „Carnets De Scène“ veröffentlicht. Nicht auszuschließen, dass diese terminliche Auffälligkeit in direktem Zusammenhang mit ihrem eigenen „erstmaligen Erscheinen“ steht: Am 5. Dezember 1966, erblickte Patricia als jüngstes von sieben Kindern das Licht der Welt.

Bereits im Alter von acht Jahren stand Patricia Kaas erstmals auf einer Bühne – als Teilnehmerin eines lokalen Schlagerwettbewerbs. Drei Jahre später trat sie im Saarbrücker „Rumpelkammer“-Club auf, wo sie in den folgenden sieben Jahren einen hervorragenden Ruf als Live-Sängerin erarbeitete. 1985 wurde der Schauspieler Gerard Depardieu auf die 19jährige Sängerin aufmerksam und produzierte ihre erste Single, die sich allerdings als kommerzieller Flop entpuppte.  

Wiederum drei Jahre später folgte schließlich der Durchbruch: Patricias Debüt-Album „Mademoiselle Chante Le Blues" und der Follow-Up „Scène De Vie" (1990) wurden in Frankreich zu Top-Sellern. In Deutschland gelang mit „Scène De Vie" erstmals der Einzug in die Top 20 der Albumcharts. Den endgültigen Sprung vom Geheimtipp zum Weltstar vollzog Patricia Kaas schließlich 1993 mit dem Album „Je Te Dis Vou", das unter der Regie von Sade-Produzent Robin Miller entstand und in über vierzig Ländern erschien. Auf der folgenden Welttournee gab Patricia Kaas als erste westliche Sängerin in Hanoi, Vietnam ein Konzert.

Im Dezember 2003 veröffentlichte Patricia Kass schließlich ihr jüngstes Werk, „Sexe Fort“, das u.a. die Hitsingle „Où sont les hommes“ hervorbrachte. An der Entstehung ihres sechsten Studioalbums hatte eine ganze Reihe hochkarätiger Mitstreiter mitgewirkt, u.a. Francis Cabrel, Renaud, David Manet, Etienne Roda Gil, Stéphan Eicher (Duettpartner bei „On pourrait“), Jean-Jacques Goldman, Pascal Obispo, François Bernheim, Patrick Fiori, Louis Bertignac und J. Kapler.

Musikalisch bedient sich Patricia Kaas längst nicht nur am Chanson: Die Mischung Klassik, Blues und Schlager, Akustik-Pop und Rock ist der Reiz, der ihr Oeuvre auszeichnet. Dies ist vor allem bei ihren Konzerten zu erleben. Unverwechselbar ist ihre Stimme, ausdrucksstark ihre Bühnenpräsenz. Fast jede ihrer großen Tourneen wird als Live-Album dokumentiert.

Mit über fünfzehn Millionen verkauften Alben und über 1000 gespielten Konzerten, die annähernd zwei  Millionen Menschen sahen, ist Patricia Kaas die mit Abstand erfolgreichste Sängerin Frankreichs. Alleine in Deutschland fanden ihre Alben über 1,5 Millionen Käufer. Doch nicht nur als Musikerin feiert „die Kaas“ Triumphe: In Cannes debütierte sie 2002 als Schauspielerin in dem Film "And Now Ladies And Gentlemen" an der Seite von Jeremy Irons.

That's really true. We are lucky enough to see and read from her more often.....I'm looking forward to this other TV appearence in April   I hope that, in the future,  she'll have some appearences close to where she originally comes from cause I'd love to see her in Concert and this wouldn't be far for me to drive   But if she doesn't come here, I truly have to go and see a concert elsewhere

It's not that close to where I live but only 2 hours if I take the car.....I should really go and see her there. It's 2 days before my 20th birthday, so I could start the party a bit earlier with Patricia
