Happy Memories of Rene/Celine

As we mourn the death of Rene let us find comfort with each other and share our favorite memories of Rene and Celine.  

One of my favorite memories is watching the TTWT DVD when they visit the lion sanctuary in South Africa. The animal keeper invites Celine, Rene and RC inside the fence to pet the lions and there is a sign that says the lions might bite. Celine walks in without being afraid and Rene and RC stand back like "No way are we going in there!. :sofunny: That always has and always will make me laugh. I am terrible at screen caps but if/when I find that moment I will post it.

What are your favorite memories/moments?

I would have to say that I downed it funny that it taken celine some time to work out that rene got a haircut in TTEOTW.

Ps anyone know when he passed away?

I liked that during "A New Day: The Secrets" he said that he allowed Celine to cut her hair for the opening of the show because he's not just her manager he's her husband too so he let her do it as he saw how happy it made her. That is what it's all about. He made her happy.

Whenever Rene was around celine she was truly happy!

For me knowing he hasn't been to her shows since she returned always felt like something was missing

Someone posted this You Tube montage in a thread when we found out Rene was ill again and I have looked at it over and over since then. So many happy Celine and Rene moments are collected here!

I've always loved the millennium concert when she lays down on the stage to kiss him. And every time they made their sign language thing to each other. 💝

I loved whenever they looked into each others eyes and Rene would ever so gently kiss Celine's cheek. He was always so soft and loving with her. You could see the love he had for her and the love she had for him in a single moment captured on film, whether it be in just a picture or a video. There love always translated and shined through the camera lens. :cry:

I always liked the part -I believe it was in 3 boys and a new show, where she, RC and Rene were in the private jet during take off, holding each others hands and Rene was holding onto Celine's foot.  I thought that was sweet and intimate

I always thought it was cute that they held each other's hands on the plane.

Question- does Celine just not like the takeoff? I've never understood why she has to always hold somebody... Is it just the speed that she doesn't like? Trivial question, but just curious! :)

Thank you imaswede78 for starting this topic.  It has been great therapy for me and I'm sure it's been great therapy for everyone on the forum as well.

My favorite memory also comes from Through the Eyes of the World.  It's Réne's Prada bowling shoes.  I can't believe he thought those shoes looked like normal shoes and he thought he would impress shoe queen Céline with them.  That will always make me laugh.  :sofunny:

Yep ... mine is definitely, 100%, the bowling shoes as well - when he thinks Celine has dared/hinted to Annie to mention them :-D
