It's from a performance for Chrysler (employees)..

Well it was always the case that Bette would start performing there earlier (early '08) than Cher (later in '08). And btw, they are contradicting themselves.. First they say Bette has signed a huge deal with CP, then afterwards they say "if the deal goes through". If she has already signed the contract, doesn't it mean the deal is already though..?

The ANDHC performance was at the Chrysler launch of Drive & Lurrrrrrrrrve.

I saw Cher in Glasgow and loved it- she was great.

I'm a vegas entertainment gossip whore.. and Bette has been in town a lot the last couple weeks. I think she's been seen at practically every cirque show. and i think they said she was having lunch with the president of caesars and she had toured the colosseum. i think she's definitely the closest to being a done deal.

Hmmm does Bette even can do a big big Vegas show?? I like her... don't get me wrong... but can she do a big show like AND or like Cher's Farewell Tour? I mean Cher I can definatly see doing Las Vegas... she did it in the 70ies too! But I don't have a clue what Bette will do!

Well she can definately do a Vegas show and it doesn't necessarily have to be a big (big) show, doubt she will be able to pull it off for 3+ years, but I'm sure she'll have a strong start..

I think Bette will do good!    I don't think she can draw the attendance that Celine has for 5 years, but overall I think she will be a good investment for Caesars.

I agree, there are many great female comedians in Vegas right now. I don't believe anyone can achieve what Celine has at Caesar's...and if they say they can I'd like to see them try!

I'm wondering how long she will be at Caesar's? I doubt it will be for four years. I have a feeling they will just have a mix of rotating performers like Bette, Elton, Cher. All of them will do good shows. It's hard to think about the fact that there will be no more Celine in LV!

Nobody can replace Celine in Vegas - that's the truth heheh Vegas won't be the same for me after Celine leaves ..... I love cirque du soleil but it's not the same. I don't think there's a singer that can do what Celine did.

Wow, I guess that's good for Ceasars.  I think she'll do well in Vegas.  After Celine leaves tho I know I won't be going there for a very llooooonnnngggg time.  It's gotten too expensive and I'll be broke after the December shows.  hehe

Yeah, I think it would be very appropriate for them to name it after her.  After all--it was built for her show, and NO ONE will come close to the success she's had there.  

But I'm not convinced they will name it after her--since it may make other artists feel inferior!

Why would it make them feel inferior?

It's mainly a tribute to name a permanent property after someone special.
Naming a property after someone has been done for ages.

Fords were named after Henry Ford. Guggenheim Museums. Hearst Castle. Trump Building. John D. Rockefeller Center.  John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. George Lucas Instructional Building at USC. Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls... and the list goes on...

Does anybody know if the replacements are going to be using Celine's dressing room, the biggest dressing room in the world. That would piss me off if they move into Celine's dressing room. It's appropriate that they tear it down once Celine leaves.
It angers me knowing they might be tinkering around in Celine's place/ things.

This is going to be like one of those old "Vegas shows"   Celine has this bigger than life show, the best on the planet, and they're replace it with a "Vegas show"???!!!   They're gonna cry their hearts out when Celine ends her run. Well, the truth is there's no one out there big enough, with enough star power, that could make millions of people travel all the way around the globe to see them.... so it really doesn't matter who's taking up next, they'll still not be as succesful as they were with Celine.
