Yeah, it will be sad to think it's over. But what an exciting time for Bette fans! We know exactly how they will be feeling, having almost daily access to their idol. I hope she's as successful as Celine was. :) And we have new things to look forward to, it will soon be time for us to move on to a new chapter in Celine's career and I for one am really excited about this.

Thank you. We Bette fans were extremely excited and still are. Im hoping to go see her later this year. ive bin workin my #ss off to save up to see her. Her show will be AMAZING!!

I saw Cher's show in Vegas a couple weeks ago and it was fabulous!  Cher is amazing!  She really goes all out with her stage.  I couldn't help but think Celine's show was relatively simple to Cher's.  She used so many props and had a huge catwalk across the back of the stage.  She made her entrance in a cage that floated from the ceiling to the stage in true Cher fashion.  Her costumes were amazing and so vibrant and eccentric.  Her dancers had extravagant costumes as well and they used HUGE props during the songs.  It really was a spectacle.  I wish Celine had done more with the props and sets.  Cher always puts on a killer show.  The greatest moment of the concert was the very last song, which was Believe, a lady that had to be in her late 60's got up and rocked out like nobody's business.  It was HILARIOUS!

Sorry but Cher did the cage thing already so it wasn't a new thing. She did it on her Farewell tour :whistling:

I know, I saw that tour as well, but it's a cool idea nonetheless!

what's funny is that the cher and bette concerts are not selling out every show. it took celine over a year to stop selling every night and even then it was usually at least once or twice a week, but even bette and cher have stopped selling out every night even tho its close

Nice to read that you enjoyed Cher's show.  I love Cher but this seems very much a carbon copy of the Farewell Tour.  What did you think?  Of course the costumes and sets are different but it even has same opening and closing with the cage etc.

One question I would like to ask.  Did all the costume changes detract from the show?  I mean I heard there were about 15 or something and she was on for a song, then off again.  It's all very well saying they used the stage more, but if  the main act was only on for the shortest time I'd rather have Celines stage anyday.  I'd like to know as the next time I'm in Vegas I may well go and see the show.

I could tell that the tour was different from the Farewell Tour in most ways, but definitely similar as well.  She sings a couple covers such as Pat Benetar's Love is a Battlefield, and Thelma Houston's Don't Leave Me This Way, but the songs are the same as they always are.  She hasn't done anything new since 2001 so the songs won't have changed.  I'm undecided about all the costume changes.  On one hand, it does have a "start-and-stop" effect," and it gets quite annoying after every song having a pause and then some kind of short entertainment while they change sets and costumes; that's exactly why I didn't like her farewell tour, but in the colliseum it's much more tolerable.  They would lower a silk screen down and play old Sonny and Cher videos or have some kind of acrobatic "Circque du Soleil" type of thing for a few minutes.  It allowed them to have elaborate costumes and also grand sets with huge mobile pieces, but again, it was very start-and-stop.  If it would have been Celine I wouldn't have minded this, but I'm not as big of fan of Cher, so I'm undecided.  I will say it was very grandoise and over-the-top!  I was impressed!
