Ok, I was about to get tickets for the new tour and suddenly Ticketmaster wouldn't come up. I can't get my tickets now!!! Every other site works so it's not my computer, it's just Ticketmaster
Anyone else having this problem?

I managed to get tickets for New York, but it threw me out twice. I finished the transaction around 11.24 am EST then it wouldn't let me view and print my order. Guess the system has been overloaded and gone into meltdown!

i knew $185 was too good to be true. all the good floor seats were part of the gold package, which was at least $500/ticket.
I live my life like a runaway
I hide my dreams in a special place
I'm waiting here for my prince to come
To save me from the darkness...

It's past 10:00 here... Ticketmaster won't even show up on my computer. It gives an error message.

It appears that the floor seats, at least for San Jose and Los Angeles, really were only for TeamCeline members and the package deals. I just got done messing around on Ticketmaster for a bit and not once did I get a Floor seat. I even was on right at the second they released. I also checked Sacramento's Arco Arena and the closest a person could get is now in the "nosebleed" sections. Looks like Sacramento is going to be a sold out show very soon!
I did, however, notice one thing. You can buy the Hot Seat Package with the sound check for only one person now. It is no longer relegated to groups of two.

So far I'm going to two shows!!!!! I bought atlantic city tickets with team celine and I'm 7th row. ANNND today I went out in the snow to buy tickets for Newark but I only had enough for the nosebleeds. BUT i am row one lol. damn ticketmaster for charging 15 extra dollers ....
I plan on getting tickets some way some how to other madison square garden, nassau, wachovia center....and montreal. But I'll probably end up having to get those off of ebay or something.
Maybe if I win the lottery I can get some hot seats haha

I am officially DIVORCING TM. I think they just lost my business. All the tickets that I bought for 7 shows (except the Hot sounds package for Aug 16th in Montreal) were bought thru Ticketexchange. General sale sucked. I have my front rows at the expense of $8K including the package. So i am done with tickets for this year and will try next year as the events draw near. Dissappointed in the whole system. Lol, since all tickets are in pairs maybe i should start reselling the single tickets to get back some of the money. Any takers?

I would say pretty well because when I went to buy them 20mins after they went on sale they only had the upper levels left.

EARLY TIX TICK OFF DION FANS
By SAMUEL GOLDSMITH
November 19, 2007 --
Super diva Celine Dion hits New York City in a comeback tour late next year called "Taking Chances" - but she's not taking any with ticket sales.
Dion won't sing at Madison Square Garden until September 2008, but promoters are already hawking tickets.
The tour hits 45 arenas from August 2008 to January 2009, and prices range from $55 to $900.
Four nights of shows next fall sold out in Toronto in just 32 minutes, a spokesperson for Dion said.
But baffled fans and music industry pundits aren't singing happy tunes. They say fans are being claim taken advantage of, and promoters are needlessly collecting millions in ticket sales nearly a year before the show.
"My inbox is filling up about it because people are so outraged," said Bob Lefsetz, author of music business blog "The Lefsetz Letter."
A spokesperson for Dion's concert promoter, AEG Live, said they're selling tickets now because Dion just released a new album, and they want to take advantage of the holiday shopping season.

Of course we are taken advantage of!!!! 2 TC tickets for the whole tour. That is unheard of!!!!! Scalpers had tickets BEFORE they were released. Scalpers jammed TM website so everyone else got locked out! Scalpers grabbed the tix and reselling to us fans at outrageous prices.

Celine has never encountered such negativity: husband
ROBYN YOUNG
The Daily News
Sticks and stones won’t break her bones, but names really do hurt her.
Celine Dion has never encountered such a negative reaction to a proposed concert as she did from Halifax, her husband-manager has told a Montreal journalist.
In response to a question from La Presse reporter Alain De Repentigny about the cancelled show on the Halifax Common, Rene Angelil said in French: If we’re not welcome in Halifax, we won’t go.
“Si nous ne sommes pas les bienvenus à Halifax, on n’ira pas,” Angelil said in the article posted Sunday on the Cyberpresse website.
This contradicts promoter Gillett Entertainment Group, which said the concert was cancelled Friday because the venue was not suited to the show’s elaborate production needs.
Gillett couldn’t be reached for comment yesterday, but the promoter confirmed to a Halifax newspaper last week that Dion will play a free show on the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City for its 400th anniversary celebration Aug. 22, the day before she was scheduled to play on the Common.
“Now we hear that she’s playing on the Plains of Abraham, which is a big outdoor space,” Mayor Peter Kelly said yesterday.
Angelil told Repentigny on Sunday that just before tickets went on sale for the Aug. 23 Halifax show, journalists here wrote that the location was appropriate for The Rolling Stones and other rock acts, but not Quebec’s most famous chanteuse.
At the same time, Angelil said, Dion sold 54,000 tickets for a show at a Dublin stadium in June.
Repentigny said his reason for calling Angelil was to talk to him about Dion’s overwhelming popularity in Montreal, after the singer sold out four shows at the Bell Centre.
When he called, Angelil offered to tell him the story of the Halifax cancellation.
“He told me that he’d read something,” Repentigny told The Daily News.
Angelil saw negative stories about Dion’s Halifax concert from two different journalists, he said.
“I asked him, ‘Well, maybe two journalists expressed their opinions; it doesn’t mean that the people wouldn’t go and see her sing,’” Repentigny said.
“He said, ‘If it sparks controversy there, if it’s a problem, we won’t go.’”
Dion’s A New Day world tour kicks off next Valentine’s Day in Johannesburg, returning to Canada in mid-August.
Tickets for her Edmonton show went on sale Saturday, and sold out so quickly promoters added a second gig. Vancouver and Winnipeg were almost sold out by Sunday. Tickets for her Toronto concert went on sale yesterday.
Events Halifax’s Scott Ferguson, who worked with Gillett to bring Dion to metro, said he was disappointed with the negative reaction from Haligonians.
“It was like a feeding frenzy, and I was kind of embarrassed for the city,” he said.
The reaction didn’t fairly represent the market, he added: “I think that a lot of people would enjoy going to see Celine Dion.”
In fact, when she came to Halifax eight years ago, he said, it was a sold-out show.
Dion performed here even though her act was bigger than the Metro Centre venue, Ferguson said.
“She might have been too big at that point, but she showed some loyalty to the market,” he said. “So it’s unfortunate that this time around, we didn’t show the same loyalty back again.”
In response to Angelil’s comments about the cancelled concert, Kelly said there’s not much the city can do.
“Is it frustrating and disappointing? Yes it is, but we can’t control things,” he said. “We will go on.” —With files from Paul McLeod

What does Rene mean about Celine never having experienced such negativity???? Has he forgotten what Quebec did to its favorite daughter back in the early 90's when she said that the idea of separatism was "terrible"?? Radio stations in Quebec stopped playing her songs and she was booed in every one of her subsequent public appearances!!
The whole thing got so ugly that Celine had to elaborate further on that political comment. She said that she was proud to be BOTH a Canadian and a Quebecoise! But you really have to give it to her bec. she maintained her anti-separatism stance!

Yeah but it,s not the same kind of negativity. In Halifax people are just rejecting her for rejecting her. There's no reason. They just dont want her in their city. It's absurd.

There's another news story tonight and it looks like Rene has spoken about the whole issue. I will try to capture it and then post it here like the other one.
The things that have been said about Celine over the last few weeks is unacceptable. It makes me ashamed to be living in this city. She has done nothing wrong and all she was doing was come here to give a concert for her fans. However the small minded people of this city decided to be idiots and ruin everything for everyone. I hope that this will make it even harder for the city to attract major acts because these people have to learn a lesson.

What exactly are some of the comments made about Celine (and Rene) that has caused them to feel not wanted? Any specific quotes would be appreciated!

I used this number when I called Bercy: 0033 1 46 91 57 57.
I'm sure it's correct because I spoke with someone about my tickets at this number back than in May.
If I remember well, there is first an automatic message which welcomes you at Bercy and tells you to wait for someone to talk to you or you have to press a number to select option/subject you want to talk about.
