celine just proved to everyone that if she really wants to she can still sing each one of her very demanding songs - she cant do it 5 nights a week but she can hit each and every note she wants to in general .
edit : can we somehow take tony's voice out of the song and hear only celine? iknow it's possible somehow ...is there a software maybe? it's just that she is singing the last note on a very high key and tony's voice is much lower so u hear him oversing her a little . is there a way to hear only celine?

Celine's voice is soooooo clear and soothing just like it's supposed to be on this kind of a track! It's a champagne and candles kind of a song
The way Celine's voice is, it's perfect for an English jazz album after the French one...

Actually I'd love two things : one would be that she recorded a solo version of If I Ruled The World on her next album and the other that she sang it live.

I feel a little angry
She has the best voice now,
but doesn't release new album this year.
I can't wait to listen to her new songs.

I did a quick cut and toke out Tony's voice. If actually sounds pretty good, but I was unable to do anything with the note at the end. Hope you all like it.

So I thought twice and said just because of the late release date I was gonna take a look after all when it appeared here.
After listening to some of the other songs on this album, I am shocked. I can't believe these are live duets, some sound as un-synced as they possible could...
Gonna listen to If I Ruled The World now...

And long high notes, thevoice must be pleased.
Ok, here comes the complaining: I feel stressed when listening to this song, they're delivering the lines as if they were short of time - and they are, a track under 3 minutes! Wow congrats, this time they've manged to make a Céline track even shorter. I don't get this, why must each and every of her recent track be extremely short?? There are no instrumental solo in this song, so there is no place to rest and take in the song... I miss an instrumental solo as much here as I did in Dance With My Father. It is a great loss to the overall feeling of the song not to include an instrumental solo.
Céline sounds as she did on These Are Special Times, which is very good. I did not expect her voice to sound like this again... And Tony sounds "less old" on this track compared to the other tracks on this album, which is good. Perhaps he pulled himself together a bit extra when singing together with this wonderful voice (Céline).
It all sounds perfect and all, and I am really glad that Céline keeps on doing standards. She sings them so well. But this time it is "just" singing. I am sorry, she sounds extremely fine but... I don't feel anything...

ALBUM: DUETS: AN AMERICAN CLASSIC (RPM/Columbia Records)
NEW YORK (Billboard) - One of America's great voices surrounds himself with other singing superstars, mostly to good effect, on this 80th birthday celebration. It helps that Bennett recorded these duets in person, and that he's worked with some of these folks, such as k.d. lang and Elvis Costello, before. A few of Bennett's partners here, notably Celine Dion and Stevie Wonder, get a bit overemotive (though Wonder's harmonica is a treat on "For Once in My Life"), but Tim McGraw ("Cold, Cold Heart"), James Taylor ("Put On a Happy Face") and George Michael ("How Do You Keep the Music Playing?") are surprising standouts amidst a heady corps that also includes Paul McCartney, Elton John, Bono, Sting, the Dixie Chicks and Barbra Streisand. Nevertheless, the album's best moment is "I Left My Heart in San Francisco," a Bennett solo performance accompanied only by piano.

No reason to be angry. She's recording songs! So we'll be able to hear how fantastic she is when the album she's working on currently is released next year!
