I love the song , i love her voice and i know many of you are going to hate me for saying this but almost seems to me like she recorded this  a very long time a go, before the nasal voice came into her career. She does not sound like this no more , she sang Summertime not long a go and i know it was great, we all loved it  but she did not sound like this or even close.  I might be wrong yeah i know but its possible, this is showbiz and many things are kept as a secret . If im wrong i can't wait to see her sing 'live' with Tony the same way.

i dont hate u , i agree that celine sounds the best in a very long time here and that recently her voice was very nasal including in "summertime" . however - i'm telling u for 100% - this song was recorded recently - that's a fact

Short but amazing. The song itself is beautiful, the music, the words and the whole arrangement. The two voices blend really good. Céline's voice is really beautiful on that song, so clear and fresh and powerful. I love it.

I hope that's how she'll sound on her next album. I tell you, if she had recorded her last albums with that much input and vocal emotion instead of that nasal snorefest, they could have been truely amazing.

Gogo, her voice was nasal on Summertime and on this song as well. I can point you to the exact seconds. That however does not diminish the grandeur of her performance on both. She sounded splendid on both.

Oh, and there is absolutely no doubt that it was recorded VERY recently. The album was recorded in spring but Céline's duet was recorded in summer or late summer just in time to make to the final cut. Definitely this year. She sounded accordingly. I for one have no problem assigning her voice to certain years/vocal periods and this is most likely the year 2006.

This is THE Celine voice people think of when you say her name- it really did sound like it was from TAST or sumit. She never ceases to amaze me. I recently said that I didn't think she could sing some of the big songs from the past anymore but after that I have no doubt she could. I love her. So so much!

she sounds nasal 2 times only during the song but overall this is the first song in a very long time in which celine is using her nose less and her vocal chords more  - just great .

Her voice was superb...however, I think I would have liked her to be more intimate like in Seduces Me.....it sounded like she was over singing, which is something critics used to talk down about. However, it's GREAT for us fans to see that she's still got it in her.

No, I also believe it was recorded recently. This is a legendary duet between two very high-profiled, A-list artists. They would never shelve something like this: That would be like a sin.

I can imagine the session between Tony and Celine to be quite similar. It's no doubt that they recorded it in Los Angeles, since it's the closest to Vegas.

Another reason that this is recent is that these artists collaborated with Tony as a gift to him for his 80th birthday... which is... recent.

Celine's voice is different day to day. She has good days and bad days. But the nasal sound in her voice has been present ever since she was born. It's just a part of her voice. Also, it varies from song to song, and it also depends on the words sung.

Celine was quite nervous during her performance of "Summertime." It was quite a pressure for her because this was one of the most-watched events on American television, and she was to open up a song with an a capella portion. Of course, she doesn't sound "like this" because they're totally different songs.

Remember the Millennium Concert?
Many fans accused Celine of being overly nasal that evening. I thought she fantastic that night, especially singing for hours and hours! Here's a performance of "When I Fall in Love" from that evening:


Also, I must add that technology could also take out hisses from people's voices and can even out their nasalness.

i'm not a big fan of this song...... to oldie for me
but her voice sounds like before. exept when she sings "my woooooooorrrrrrrlllllddddd" it's too much nasal. but whatever. i love her voice so particular then all the others singers.
