Ok, So I used my two TeamCeline tickets for the Milwaukee show, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed to get good Omaha tickets. This is actually where I live so it would drive me crazy if I end up not going to it!

 

Anyone here looking for someone to go with them to the Omaha show? Otherwise this will be updated if I am able to get general public tickets to asking if someone wants to go with me to it.

I just got my tickets to the Omaha show. Section 121, Row 4. I'm just happy to be able to see her in my own hometown.

This AEG presale is a joke. They have no floor seats.

I swear if floor tickets are available at the general sale tomorrow, I'm going to be pissed off. I had tested to see if there were any left before I bought mine through the AEG presale by going through adding the TC membership to the tickets, but that also didn't show any floor tickets.

Isn't there anyone else who's going to this Omaha show from this board?! I mean if I couldn't get floor tickets, I want to see who did so I can find out HOW they did it. Perhaps they used their 2 TC tickets to get them..

I am going to try tomorrow for Omaha fro General sale...Hopefully for floor seats. So far I have front row for Montreal, Sacramento and Tacoma ad 3rd row for Montreal.

No, no tickets. I tried to get them thru the Bok Arena but the site was hung and the phone was busy. I was reading complaints in the Tulda World that people were like #12 in line and the show was sold out before they got to the window. Scalpers I bet. In any case, I am planning on getting front row next year somehow someway and I most likely will see you there! What seats do you have?

Yeah, I know what you are saying. The money we are spending on tour tickets comes from our auction fund. Lol. We were bidding on the last show tickets and placed $7,000 per ticket bid but TM did their inside trick and rejected our bid saying the bank didn't approve and that was not true because the bank did and the TM never responded to the approval .So TM is a bunch of liars. The tix went for $6,725 but I should have been their rightful owner. Lol. well, at least that enables me to get all those front rows for the tour and the sound check package.

im going to the omaha show! Havent gotten my tickets yet... i am actually moving to omaha in 3 weeks so she will be coming to my town! I am going to try for the denver show too... does anyone know anything about the hot package? Something about getting to go to the sound check and a pre-show hospitality party.. i will pay ANYTHING to get those tickets, and dont care where im at. I can't afford them yet... stupid christmas presents and such.. ugg.. but yes i will be at the qwest center 11-17-2008! Celine in Nebraska!! :D

So i am going to see Celine when she comes to omaha nebraska next month and i have two ticket options.. the section row 2 seats 1 and 2 along one of the catwalks off to the side.. being right up next to the stage.. or 4 rows from the front center of the stage.. or of course bowl seating.. i can just tell from pictures etc that the stage seems really high and i dont want to be in the front and not be able to see anything.. anyoen have advice or recomendations on what the best seats are? also.. anyone from here going to the omaha show November 17th? It'd be cool to meet some other fans

She won't spend as much time on the catwalk as she does to the floor audience. I'd love to have been in Sec 121 just for IA. And yeah being that close can strain the neck , especially when she is facing the other side of the stage and you have to look UP at the screens to see her.

i'm scared this show will get cancelled due to her illness.... let's pray that she gets better and is able to get here. I have been looking forward to seeing this show since it was first announced over a year ago... and i went through a lot to find good decent tickets :/ She cancelled tulsa for thursday.. and it supposed to be in KC for saturday.. so i guess we'll see... is anyone from here going to the omaha show by chance??

i was just looking at some articles from the chicago tribune and someone posted saying that "sources say" her next show will definately be Omaha... my day, week, month will be ruined if she cancels.

She isn't looking to rule - we think - but she is bringing her music to nearly everyone on the planet who can afford a ticket. Dion's world tour has taken her through Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe on the way to North America.

 

The only places her "Taking Chances" tour won't go are Antarctica, where the total population isn't big enough to fill an arena, and South America.

 

The pop songstress's live act, which makes a stop Monday at Qwest Center Omaha, is a glitzy, Las Vegas-inspired affair. The Vegas influence stems from the five years that Dion performed on the Strip.

 

Her Vegas show, "A New Day," lasted for more than 700 performances, drew more than 3 million fans and grossed more than $400 million. The show included multiple flashy costumes for Dion and a plethora of dancers and backup singers.

 

Over the past two weeks, Dion has postponed shows in Chicago, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Tulsa and this Saturday's show in Kansas City because of what her promoter said was a respiratory virus. Dates at venues in those cities have been rescheduled for later in the tour. A Qwest Center spokeswoman said Wednesday that as far as she knew, the Omaha show would go on.

 

The material from Dion's world tour concerts spans everything from her French-language hit "Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore" to the widely known "My Heart Will Go On," the love ballad from the movie "Titanic."

 

It's probably no coincidence, then, that she has a new collection of greatest hits, called "My Love: Essential Collection." For the die-hard fan, the album also comes in a two-disc "Ultimate Essential Collection" that includes nine extra songs.

MUCH YAYNESS!!!! I am excited now!! Lets just hope the spokesperson from the Qwest Center is right though... i would imagine two weeks off to recover would be plenty of time... This is big for Omaha.. it is rare to get an artist of her caliber here, and its huge throughout all of nebraska. I've heard of many radio stations further west in rural parts of nebraska holding get away for a night with celine contests. o_O i am soooo excited for this!!!!

Just read on the Omaha World Herlad website that the concert has been cancelled and they are working on rescheduling it.

this really sucks a lot... i thougth two weeks would be plenty of time for her to recover... something has to be very wrong here.. and the only source reporting this cancellation is the omaha world herald, it's not yet confirmed on celinedion.com and ticketmaster is still selling tickets for it... :

The Omaha World Herald online story has been removed. I also contacted the Qwest Center and they have not been notified that this has been postponed. As of right now, it's business as usual until they hear otherwise.

November 14 , 2008

 

AEG Live, the promoter of Celine Dion's Taking Chances World Tour, has rescheduled the artist's November concerts in Omaha, Denver, Salt Lake City and San Jose, while Celine recuperates from a recurrent naso-pharyngeal infection which was further complicated by inflamed vocal chords. Her physician has instructed her to refrain from singing in order to completely recover.

 

These concerts have been rescheduled for the following dates:

 

Omaha, Qwest Center - Thursday, February 26, 2009

 

Denver, Pepsi Center - Tuesday, February 24, 2009

 

Salt Lake City, EnergySolutions Arena - Sunday, February 22, 2009

 

San Jose, HP Pavilion - Friday, February 20, 2009

 

Fans should hold on to their original tickets as they will be honored for the new concert dates. Fans unable to attend the rescheduled concerts can obtain a refund at their original point of purchase.

I think she has the same thing as in 1990: Nodules on her vocal chords due to an overuse of the voice!

 

She needs a full vocal rest for at least 3 weeks and voice/singing therapy for a few days to fully recover from this! And her vocal/singing therapist needs to go with her on tour to protect her from overusing her voice again after her recovery!

 

If she does this, there is a big chance that she will be back healthy again in December!
