I think they are about the same. The English Canada shows are (I think) the same as the US shows. The Montreal shows have more French songs but those songs are just replacing some English songs, so the show is still about two hours.

First of all, I love the opening video. Seeing all the newer footage of Celine mixed with her videos was really cool and also seeing her around the world...makes you really realize how much she is loved. And when she rose from the center of the stage it was beyond incredible. The crowd went wild...and then settled right down. A note about the crowd: it was not exactly high energy tonight, especially where we were, but def. not the most 'dead' crowd I've seen...though I would have liked them to be in it a bit more.
Regardless of the crowd, Celine was phenomenal. The first set went really quickly (The Power Of Love started almost immediately after I Drove All Night) but Taking Chances was soooo good...I think I prefer the live version to that of the studio. In the next set, All By Myself was off the roof. I felt so proud to be in the same room as Celine at this point. I'm still in awe of that performance...truly beyond words. I'm Alive was actually pretty well received (a lot of people knew it) which was good because although Shadow Of Love and Fade Away were performed well, the crowd died right down during them (Fade Away was magnificant though).
And of course, My Love was a highlight of the night. Having seen videos from other concerts I knew Celine got emotional during this song, but tonight it seemed really tough for her to get through. In fact, there was a bit of a long audience break afterwards because Celine was trying to compose herself. I won't lie...I got emotional seeing her that way.
The Queen segment was better than I thought with The Show Must Go On being a highlight for me (Celine does this song justice and then some). Love Can Move Mountains was great...and FINALLY got the crowd up. I LOVED River Deep, Mountain High and thought it was such an energetic performance (even better than the Live in Las Vegas version).
My Heart Will Go On was a great way to end my first Celine concert and I was sooo sad when the song ended cause I knew the show was over. It went by so fast and I really wanted her to keep going...but I'll just wait til next time, perhaps when she comes to T.O again next month.
Anyways, a short review but in one word this night was AMAZING!

Yeah she couldn't start the other song, she talk to us a little with her breaking voice, such a emotional moment
Oh and there was a technical problem with Taking Chances, the guitar of Jean-Seb didn't work so there was just the piano at the beginning of the song, but it was good anyway.

Toronto Air Canada Centre (August 28, 2008)
My sister, my mum, and I left the house at roughly 5:00pm. I wanted to take into account rush hour and having to find a parking space that didn’t have a fee that would soar through the sky. Traffic was slow, but that was a given. At about 5:30pm, we arrived in downtown and attempted to find a parking space. At around 6:00pm, we were fortunately able to find a public underground parking garage that belonged to the Royal Bank that had an amazing $7.00 flat rate deal – but I still got annoyed that my planned “schedule” was thrown a bit off track because of the terrible traffic and the parking fiasco. I wanted to be able to get there, find a parking space and head for the Air Canada Centre (ACC) and get there at around 5:40pm, get the Will Call tickets, and then head to do some Celine stuff shopping. So my schedule was delayed... But it turned out it wasn’t such a huge deal. There was no Will Call line-up so I was grateful for that and things went by smoothly.
After picking up the tickets for my mum and sister (Floor 8th row), I took my own two tickets out that my ever-so-wonderful friend Jane had sent me
“Hello, Fara! How are ya?” I said.
“Pretty good, yourself?” she replied.
“Excited. When are you getting here? Are you on your way?”
“Ummmm... Not quite.”
“Awwe man, haha. Are you close? When do you think you’ll get here?”
“In about forty minutes, I think.”
“What?! Forty minutes?”
“Erika, it’s still early! It’s only 6:30!”
“I knowww. I’m just excited! Haha. Okay. I’ll see you in a bit. Call me when you get here, okay?”
“Yep. Okay. I will talk to you soon!”
I hung up, excited as f*** to see her. A few minutes later, my mum and my sister came trudging back to me from the washroom and we stood there lining up for another 20 minutes. During that time, a few people came out to sell programs – I rocketed over and was first in line to grab one for $35.00 a piece. I took it back to where I was standing in line with my mum and sister. We looked through the program – absolutely beautiful and a great memorabilia piece. People behind us didn’t get a program but wanted to peek in on mine, so my sister punished them by obstructing their view.
Right at 7:00pm sharp, the security guards let us in. They briefly checked our bags and we went to get our tickets beeped. I saved Fara’s and would find her later to get her’s beeped. We went in and I literally ran to the merchandise stand and immediately bought one of each poster for $10.00 a piece. Then I sprinted on over to the other stand, which was setup a little nicer than just the table. It had a bunch of t-shirts, mugs, tote bags, key chains, pens, and some pins. There was also a light-up thing – I had not the slightest idea of what it actually was, though. First round in, I bought two t-shirts ($40.00 each) and a keychain ($20.00 – I know what a rip. It was those metal spinny types), which summed up to $110.00. Afterwards, I realized I wanted more, so I went back and got a tote bag ($20.00) and some pins ($10.00). So all together, I spent exactly $195.00 on Celine stuff – oh how I love being a fan.
After merchandise shopping, I stood off to the side waiting for Fara to call me while my pregnant sister devoured a humungus Gyros and a tub of Sprite. At about 7:30 – the Fara search began. She called me and told me she was walking into the ACC. I quickly went over to Gate 1 and told her where I was. I was 7:50pm by the time I found her... actually she found me and waved to me from outside the glass window. She was absolutely GORGEOUS – her hair was down and she was wearing this really nice dark purple top, a pair of fitting white capris, and nice white platformed flip flops (I’ll show you pictures soon... Not anytime too soon, because Fara told me she was going to steal my camera... and she did. So now it’s out of my reach because frankly, it’s at her house...). Initially, I was wearing a shiny silver tank top and black pants, but then I got my super cool Celine shirt and I just wore that instead.
I got her through the entrance and we made our way in together, chatting along the way. She made me go to Tim Hortons (a coffee place) with her where she got herself a large coffee and a bagel. She asked me if I wanted anything, but obviously I was much too excited about the concert to eat anything at all. Instead, I pulled out my glow bracelets and began putting a few together for myself and Fara.
Afterwards, we made our way into the concert stadium – it was jam packed. Fara’s mouth fell to the floor at the sight of the huge stadium and the fact that every single seat was filled. We made our way down to the floor section and was led to our seats by an ACC employee. I was extremely jittery and of course, overly excited sitting right there in the first row. We were greeted by Celine’s opening act – a comedic impersonator. Fara seemed to enjoy his act and told me he was kind of good-looking. I cringed a bit and said he wasn’t my type. It’s not that he wasn’t good looking, but as you know, I’m just so gay.
At 8:30pm, the comedian was done and there was a 30-minute break before Celine was scheduled to come on at about 9:00pm. Fara and I debated whether we should go outside or just sit there and wait. We ended up asking someone to watch our stuff and we went to the washroom. On our way there, we ran into one of my friends, Scott, who I had met and did a photo shoot with for the Toronto Life Magazine back in June of this year. I introduced him to Fara and he asked if I wanted to come say hi to his girlfriend, since I had met her before too. I agreed and I took Fara’s hand and began to lead her over. Fara’s grip tightened around mine and I could feel my heart skip and beat. She pulled me back a bit and said we should go to the washroom first. So I turned to Scott and told him we’d be back. We were greeted in the washroom by people who were clearly psyched about the concert. They were all excited and it made both of us excited as well.
We returned to the stadium, talked a bit with Scott, and then made our way back to our seats. Before long, the lights dimmed and the opening (IDAN) video began to play on all the big screens. I was talking to Fara and stopped mid-sentence and began to scream as loud as I could at the top of my lungs. We couldn’t see Celine yet, but we heard her belt out the first few notes of “I Drove All Night”. Several seconds later, there she was – the only and only Celine Dion standing at the centre of the stage belting out the first stanza of “I Drove All Night”.
“Is that all right, Toronto?” She yelled and the crowd went wild.
The music began to play with top-notch energy and I began to sing along and dance. By the time Celine hit the chorus of the song, I was in tears. I was so overjoyed and so happy. I couldn’t believe who I was seeing right before my eyes. Tears streamed down my face as I gazed with unconditional love at the woman who’s career I’ve been following for all these years. I cried, sang, and smiled all through the first song – it was unbelievable.
Celine performed each number with such grace and passion that it made me love her to no end more than ever before.
Celine performed “My Love” and ended the song in tears. The massive amount of emotion exuded from Celine jolted both Fara and I and certainly touched something deep within both of us. The performance of “Love Can Move Mountains” was phenomenal. Celine came out and re-energized the fans.
“Come on Toronto! I know you can sing, let me see if you can dance too! Come one get up and dance with us, Toronto! Or... T...O!” Celine yelled out. Everyone cheered and jumped out of their seats to join in on the fun. During the song, Celine and all her dancers came to the side of the stage that was right in front of us. Celine kneeled down as her dancers surrounded her as she sang. She was so close, it was UNBELIEVABLE. Fara and I screamed cheered Celine on. When the song ended, I was certainly sweaty. I was jumping, singing, and screaming – having loads of fun. When it was time for her to sing “River Deep, Mountain High,” I went haywire. It was an AMAZING performance. My favourite part was when I could see Celine’s underwear full on – her sexy bootie.
“That was great. That was really amazing – really something.”
“I know, right? It was amazing. She was just fantastic!
“Yeah. But it was too short. And hour and a half is too short, it should be like 5 hours long instead! ”
“Haha, yeah, but I would have lost my voice halfway through the concert already.” I said jokingly.
“Hahaha, yeah, but it’s worth it!”
“Oh, totally!”
“That was really great, Erika. Thanks so much for bringing me here. I had such a great time!
“Oh great! I’m so glad you did!” I replied, then added. “Now I’m so tempted to come back again.”
She looked at me for a few beats, then said, “She has another one right? The one in September? Isn’t Lisa going to that one?”
“Yep. What? You wanna go again?” I asked her playfully.
“Hahaha. I’d love to! It was so great!” She replied excitedly.
“Yeah, we’ll see haha.
As we were walking out, my mum and my sister found the two of us and I introduced Fara to the two of them. After the greetings, we walked out and Fara pulled my camera out of her bag. Oh yes... She was f***ing around with my camera all night and filling up my memory card with craploads of Celine videos and pictures. She ended up killing my battery LOL.
“Remember that comedian guy?” I asked her.
“Oh, yeah. What about him?”
“Well, remember how you thought he was good-looking?”
“Yeah, I said he was okay. Not super good-looking, but yeah.”
“Well... I didn’t think he was that good looking. But you know why I would say that right?"
"No... how come?
"Because I don't dig guys.."
"Huh?"
"I'm not into guys."
Then she had this huge smirk on her face that totally freaked me out (not in the bad way) LOL.
"How come?" she said
"Because, I'm gay!"
"Ohhh. Well, THAT'S why. Haha. I see! "
"You didn't know?! Don't tell me you didn't know!"
"I didn't know, I'm sorry!"
"Where the f*** have YOU been? How could you not know, everyone f***ing knows! Hahaha."
"Who knows?"
"Well.. let's see... Lisa... Wenmy... Tara... IEVA! Where the f*** have you been, woman?!
"Hahaha. Well, maybe it's because I haven't been working much.
"Well, then you better get your a$$ back in for the juice! "
"Yeah! haha."
I loved the fact that she was so cool with it. She didn’t dwell on it. I told her, she accepted it, and we moved on. We began talking again about the concert and everything. She talked with my sister briefly and then me again until we had to part ways so that she could go to get her car and so that my mum, my sister, and I could go get ours. Before she left, she turned to my mum and sister and shook their hands again and said,
“Well again, it was very nice too meet you! I’ll see you soon.”
Then she turned to me and gave me a big hug. We said our goodbyes and I said I’d see her soon WITH my camera. She smiled and said she would bring it next time she sees me... But I won't bet on it.
