Also, it will be my first time seeing her during a tour, not in Vegas, where I saw her 3 times and I'll see her twice more. And, of course, the first time seeing a French concert. I had tickets for the Vegas show, ORCH4 row BB. Basically they were the best seats I could have hoped for and I saved a long time fore them. But... the show was cancelled. I was devastated. I have the DVD of the show but it's hard to think I came so close. To compensate, I am seeing Celine in Paris, London and Manchester but no arena will be as intimate as the Colosseum and no seats would beat the ones I had. sniff, sniff...! On the bright side, Paris is a wonderful place (I lived there for a year) and incredibly easy to navigate. The metro is VERY easy to understand and Bercy has it's own metro stop. If anybody needs help, feel free to contact me... I, too, am very excited to be attending my first French concert. Will be nice to get a different mix of songs...! Maybe see you there! HiUnforunqtely, I was a 'struggling student' when I was in Paris so I'm not totally familiar with fancy hotels. However, I do know that staying in Paris does not have to be hugely expensive. First of all, there are Ibis hotels all over the city, some as cheap as 70 euros/£50 a night. Obviously the central ones a slightly more expensive than the ones outside the city, but you can get great deals. For example, if you were in Paris for three nights over the weekend (eg. sat, sun and mon night) you can get the rooms for 45 euros a night (depending on availability). 135 euros = £100 and prices are per room NOT per person. Three nights in Paris for a hundred quid is quite good! But maybe you're looking for something a bit more 'Parisian' than an Ibis?Also, don't worry about being in the Bercy area. Paris is very easy to get around and Bercy has great transport links. It's right near the Bastille, which is another popular area with many bars and restaurants. I happen to know that there is at least one Ibis hotel not far from Bercy. Well, I hope this helps. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.
