Chula Posted December 2, 2009 at 02:22 AM Posted December 2, 2009 at 02:22 AM hello, Is this airline safe and punctual and land at airports that are not too far from a city? I'm looking for a flight from Prague to Vienna and Vienna to Venice. Thank you Quote
Bralo20 Posted December 2, 2009 at 10:53 AM Posted December 2, 2009 at 10:53 AM Ryanair is one of Europe's safest and most punctual carriers... However, you won't find quality at Ryanair... Ryanair operates with nearly new Boeings 737-800's but you'll have to pay for everything extra. The tickets are cheap, very cheap if you book far in advance but you'll have to pay for checked luggage, even handluggage, online checkin, for using a creditcard (even although there is no other way to pay), etc... Since FR (Ryanair) isn't loaded in the general bookingsystems I'll need to check which airports they actually fly to. Älthough I love Michael O'Learry (the CEO of FR) and his way to market Ryanair but I will never set one food on his planes... I like to get a decent service and I love to get some legroom. Something you won't get at Ryanair. But if you like flying cheap and don't bother about the lack of service then Ryanair is the way to go. But... I've just checked Ryanair and Ryanair is not flying from Prague to Vienna and also not from Vienna to Venice... Actually When I search for direct flights there is only 1 carrier that flies both legs: PRG - VIE: OS, Austrian AirlinesVIE - VCE: OS, Austrian Airlines PRG: PragueVIE: ViennaVCE: Venice San Marco If you give the exact dates you'll be flying I can check your options in the bookingsystems For this week you'll have the following options: [KVS Availability Tool 5.1.6/Diamond - Amadeus: Timetable/NL-BCDF]PRG Prague Ruzyne CZ [LKPR] VIE Vienna Int'l AT [LOWW] MON 30 Nov 2009 - 07 Dec 2009 Carrier Flight From Depart To Arrive A/C St Frequency | Dur'n | Dep T | Arr T | Effect | Ending | Exceptions --------- ------ ---- -------- ---- -------- --- -- ---------------------------------------------------------------- OS/VO 704 PRG 08:40 VIE 09:45 EQV 0 1234567 01:05 2 - 30 Nov 07 Dec OS/VO 706 PRG 11:45 VIE 12:45 EQV 0 1234567 01:00 2 - 30 Nov 07 Dec OS/VO 708 PRG 15:25 VIE 16:30 EQV 0 --345-- 01:05 2 - 30 Nov 07 Dec OS/VO 710 PRG 18:10 VIE 19:10 DH4 0 1234567 01:00 2 - 16 Nov 18 Dec OS/VO 712 PRG 21:05 VIE 22:05 EQV 0 12345-7 01:00 2 - 30 Nov 07 Dec [KVS Availability Tool 5.1.6/Diamond - Amadeus: Timetable/NL-BCDF]VIE Vienna Int'l AT [LOWW] VCE Venice Metro / Venice Marco Polo IT = TSF VCE [LIPZ] MON 30 Nov 2009 - 07 Dec 2009 Carrier Flight From Depart To Arrive A/C St Frequency | Dur'n | Dep T | Arr T | Effect | Ending | Exceptions --------- ------ ---- -------- ---- -------- --- -- ---------------------------------------------------------------- OS/VO 521 VIE 09:25 VCE 10:35 DH4 0 1234567 01:10 - - 30 Nov 24 Dec OS/VO 529 VIE 17:25 VCE 18:55 DH3 0 1234567 01:30 - - 13 Nov 15 Dec OS/VO 527 VIE 19:45 VCE 20:55 DH4 0 1234567 01:10 - - 25 Oct 23 Dec Quote ...
Bellamy Posted December 2, 2009 at 11:34 AM Posted December 2, 2009 at 11:34 AM Are you using the ancient flight booking system by commands only flight agents use? I would check a website to book a flight only. Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Thank you!
Frida Posted December 2, 2009 at 01:09 PM Posted December 2, 2009 at 01:09 PM I've flown with them (to Paris) once without problem (they ruined a wheel on my suitcase on the way home but that can happen with any airline) Quote http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tcc2copy3_zps08f18352.pnghttp://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tccgallery-1.png
Bralo20 Posted December 2, 2009 at 02:31 PM Posted December 2, 2009 at 02:31 PM (edited) Are you using the ancient flight booking system by commands only flight agents use? I would check a website to book a flight only. It's a third party software with direct links into all know booking engines... Way more powerfull and acurate then websites This is only to consult and to check possibilities, not for actual booking, however, you can check fares through the system since it gives basefares also including the full farecodes. This has actually saved me some money allready. While the travelagency (one of the biggest on the country) said that a specific fare was the cheapest I could give them an actuale code which got me a fare that was quite a bit cheaper I think I pay something like 75 EUR a year for the software but it's worth it And fortunately it doesn't work with commands, but some basic knowledge of aviation is appreciated since you'll have to know airport and airline codes or otherwise you'll be searching for some time through the list. It's quite powerfull software... www.kvstool.com Edited December 2, 2009 at 02:35 PM by Bralo20 Quote ...

Alex_Incognito Posted December 3, 2009 at 04:10 AM Posted December 3, 2009 at 04:10 AM I've used it SEVERAL times and never encountered a problem (though it always has left late from Paris=Beauvais for me!) Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
Bralo20 Posted December 3, 2009 at 07:57 AM Posted December 3, 2009 at 07:57 AM Ryanair is OK for budgetflyers who doesn't want any service at all. But in this case it's useless because they don't fly the routes Quote ...
robert sadler Posted December 7, 2009 at 08:10 AM Posted December 7, 2009 at 08:10 AM Ryanair are a reliable and safe airline i do work with them at birmingham airport but the only thing you might have to watch out for are the stealth charges before you board the aircraft which i have been told about by sevral friends who have travelled with but they say ryanair are a good service.Have a good flight. Matias Posted December 7, 2009 at 02:03 PM Posted December 7, 2009 at 02:03 PM Well if you want to save money, yes choose Ryanair, most of their flights are short so...perhaps being confortable is not an issue for you, but be prepared to pay for everything extra! Céline's Blues Posted December 10, 2009 at 11:25 AM Posted December 10, 2009 at 11:25 AM (edited) Would never in hell go via this airline. Disastrousness. Check http://www.airlinequality.com/ for good carriers. And yes, I'd go for Finnair anyday. Very friendly staff, and still top notch attitude.
